Almost perfect

Well Columbia really hit it out of the park with this coat. I didn’t really want to spend the money to buy this coat but I’m so glad I splurged and did it. The coat is almost perfect. The only con is the color. I got it in the dark coral and it’s more a rust color, as shown in the attached photos. I expected it to be a little more orange. I actually bought two of them. One in an XL and another in a 2X. I wasn’t sure which size would fit me best. I am 5’2” and weight 188 pounds. The XL fit me, but was a little snug across the shoulders and the back when I flexed my arms. Also I like to layer and wear more things under my coat besides a t shirt. When I tried on the 2X it was exactly the fit I wanted so that I can layer. If you don’t like to layer, I’d get the XL. The arms are way long on me (the 2X) but with the thumb holes, the arms seem to stay in place pretty good. The coat itself is heavy but light weighted. It’s not so heavy on you that you feel like you’re carrying around weights, but heavy enough to keep you warm. It has the thermal stuff inside which will really help you stay warm on a cold winter day. I also really love the thumb holes. These will help keep my hands warm on a cold day. Im so excited for it to snow so I can go try it out and see if it’ll keep me warm but it seems like it will. Pro: all the above Con: the color

Cute, but sleeves too long

I got this in the gray color, size Large. I ordered a Large size to fit my hips and chest, since jackets like this are typically a little snug once zipped up, and I wanted to accommodate a sweater. The color is great, the body was slightly fitted around the waist in a flattering way, and it seemed plenty warm. It was just too bulky in the arms--it felt like they were over stuffed and too long. I returned it.

Better than columbias’ powder lite

Fit: I’m 4’11 130 lbs. jacket hits just below my bottom, and loose enough for to wear an additional sweatshirt underneath. Warmth: it was 29 degrees today and with just a long sleeve T-shirt it was sufficient to keep me comfortable. What I like: inner zippered pocket large enough for ID and credit card. Maybe car keys, but I wouldn’t test it’s durability with pointy keys. Fuzzy hood was warmer than Columbia’s powder lite jacket. Comparisons to powder lite: I preferred the heavenly on all aspects. It had a better warmer hood, inner pockets, better fit for my size, and sleeves with thumb holes

Buy this jacket now!

I love this jacket. I may be a little biased because I have another omniheat Columbia jacket that I’ve had for YEARS and it holds up well. My other one is black and more of a snow jacket so much more “poofy”. I wanted something thinner but just as warm and this does the job perfectly!! I LOVE the Omni-heat inside. It totally keeps me warm. This jacket is thin and lightweight but doesn’t lack in the warm department (coming from someone who is always cold). It has a nice shape to it instead of being boxy it hugs curves. I bought a medium because I like to wear sweatshirts under my jackets and wanted extra room but I probably could have done a small. I want even more of these jackets, because I am so in love with it!

knock off??

i bought this jacket from Columbia directly and from Amazon as well. to my surprise, they’re two different jackets! I first noticed bcuz the fit is slightly different. The differences btwn the two: one has metal zipper and one has cheap plastic zipper, the filler is better/thicker in one coat and not the other, they’re made in two different countries, and one is slightly looser fit than the other (i bought size medium), the logo stitching is a different shade of gray, and most importantly the price is $75 difference btwn the two. just to name a few. another reviewer also mentioned the decrease in quality from her original purchase so im also wondering why the difference. i can’t imagine it’s a knock off since it appears to be from the Columbia store (vs a third party seller) so is Columbia making a cheaper version for Amazon… ?

Not as good as it used to be, but still decent

I'm not sure what it is about manufacturing these days, but I purchased this exact coat back in 2014 and loved it. The omni-heat lining really does add an extra layer of warmth, and I wore my jacket to Peru on the shortest, coldest day of the year. It performed wonderfully. This new version feels cheap(er). The zippers aren't as nice. The collar lining isn't as nice. Even the nylon exterior feels almost scratchy by comparison. I'm keeping this jacket as it still does the job, but really disappointed in Columbia for cutting corners.

Absolutely LOVE this jacket!

I love this jacket! It fits perfectly (thankfully), it's so soft and comfy and super light weight! And even though it's so light, it's still warm! The thumb cuffs are so awesome and soft! It looks awesome, nice color, and I have had many compliments on it. I love how comfy it is! It also has an inside pocket which is great. I would buy again for sure if needed and can recommend for sure!

Lightweight and warm!

I love this jacket ! The hood is so cozy the pockets are perfect I love the thumb cuffs perfect for driving and a phone pocket inside I got the light blue one and I just love it! Haven’t worn it out too many times yet with the lockdown but so far it’s really a nice coat! No regrets!
