Decent jacket. No liner. Some loose threads.
Great winter jacket for my skier. My almost 9 year old son is tall and skinny, 4’8” with 25” waist, weight 70 lb. He wears size 10 shirts now but I choose this jacket in Large. Since the skiing season is almost over, the large will fit him just right next year. He has another jacket by same brand in medium that fits him perfect right now. I choose lime green color so we can see him better at the bottom of the mountain (his current black/gray jacket blends in with everyone wearing similar colors). This lime green color is very vibrant, true to seller’s pictures. I am sure we will be able to spot him now. This jacket is stylish and for the most part well constructed. It does not come with a liner but there should be a lot of room for layering for colder days. It is well padded/insulated and appears to be very warm. The hood is not removable. There is one internal mesh pocket on the left side of the jacket. There are total 4 outer pockets: 2 bottom pockets, one on the left chest side, and another one on a left sleeve. With the exception of the sleeve, the 3 outer pockets are zippered. I wish the one on the sleeve was zippered also, but it is closed via a velcro type material. We would normally keep a ski season pass in the sleeve pocket, but I don’t feel confident with it being secured by a small velcro. We will most likely keep the pass in the chest pocket, which will render the sleeve pocket kind of useless. I did notice some of the stitching is loose, but nothing is coming undone yet. I am mainly docking a star off for the sleeve pocket and some sloppy stitching - I would really give this jacket 4.5 stars.

Decent jacket
Overall, this is a decent jacket. We have a few jackets from this brand and they have always delivered, but this one was a little underwhelming. This jacket was much lighter than some of our other ones, there's no liner, so not as heavy, but also not as warm. You do need to layer while using this jacket. This jacket doesn't have as many pockets, but do have enough and does offer some good protection from the snow which is why I have always loved this brand. I like the color scheme and is pretty stylish. Overall, a decent jacket, but not as good as some of the other jackets we own from this brand.

Nice jacket, need more accurate posting info
I really like the look of this jacket. The contrast of the black and white makes it look really nice. I think it’s a little on the thin side, but my son says it’s warm. The inside of the sleeves have a second sleeve with thumb holes. The zipper is a bit finicky and I worry about it’s durability. The problem I had was with the information provided in the listing. I am hoping the info I provide will help others when sizing. I have included a photo of the sizing guide at the time of ordering. It only states the waist size, and it shows for 2T- 7 only on the top. Depending on the company some say a large is a 10-12, which my son needs, or a 12-14, so I would go by the measurements. The measurement for the large waist size here was 27”. That doesn’t seem right as my son’s waist is 22” and based on that info alone their guide says an XS. I ordered the large on the idea that he could grow into a too large jacket, then a jacket that was too small. So I would say the large is sized closer to a 12-14, and a medium would probably be more like an 8-10. Also the listing photos doesn’t include any photos of the inside of the jacket. I was hoping the lining would be some sort of fleece or flannel, but there is just a thin synthetic lining. However, the pockets are lined. So I am happy with this jacket, but the seller really does need to update the listing info and the photos to show more accurate information. Hope this clears up some issues and helps someone decide whether or not to purchase this.

Runs big
Got this jacket for my son. I got the small which translated to a size 8 on the tag. I was expecting it to be a 6 since XS is usually a 4/5 but there was no size chart listed. It's still a great jacket. But he will have to wait a year to grow into it. No biggie. I like the bright orange color. It's the perfect weight for a winter coat. I've bought snow pants from this brand before so I know they make durable and long lasting products.

Great winter jacket
This jacket is pretty great. It is very warm and looks sharp. Even though it is a boys jacket, my daughter loves the color. This coat is perfect for the Midwestern winters .. There are tons of pockets, even one inside (so no lost gloves). The material is thick and seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that the size runs a little too big. Other than that, this jacket is a gem and a great deal for the price.

Runs small
This is really nice coat, it is warm without being puffy, which seems to be what my kids want at this age. My son usually wears a 12-14, so I ordered an 18-20 so he could wear it next year, but when I tried it on the 18-20 fit him perfectly. I would highly recommend ordering a size or two up when ordering this!

Need a quality kids jacket for a great value?
The Good: -Great value -Water and wind resistant -Very warm -Comfortable -Stylish -Has hood -Great value -Good fit The Bad: -Some of the stitching isn’t perfect, some pink thread coming out in places (noted in picture); doesn’t affect performance of the jacket though The Bottom Line: Our kid really likes this Arctix jacket since it is warm and comfortable. In typical Arctix fashion, they’ve made a jacket that performs well for a great price. The jacket looks great and fits well on our child. It has a hood and is water and wind resistant so it’s quite warm. The jacket is also machine washeable. Overall, I would recommend this jacket for its warmth and value.
