THIN
From the description I thought this would be a heavy winter jacket but it's not. It's more of a layering jacket or wind breaker. It is super thin. If you need something packable this would be perfect, and it's a pretty color. Seems well made. Would be good for a late spring rain jacket, maybe for layering in the fall but def not enough for winter. Size runs a little big in my opinion

Nice jacket.
This is a nice looking jacket but it's VERY thin. I'm not sure how warm it will be in very cold temperatures as my daughter hasn't worn it in the cold yet. It is probably more intended for fall and spring weather especially in the Midwest. It's definitely very packable because of how thin it is. The material is very thin though so I'm not sure how well it will hold up to kids playing and well, being kids. It feels like it could tear or get a hole in it very easily. I got the purple one and it's a very pretty shade of purple. It's like a deep lavender color. I think a little deeper than the color shown in the listing. I love the colored letting inside. It also has pockets with zippers on both sides. My daughter is 11 and it fairly average size but slightly tall for her age. We ordered a size large for her and she has a little room to grow into it but she prefers to wear coats, jackets, and hoodies on the larger side so it's perfect for her. She loves that the sleeves mostly cover her hands. I do wish it had a drawstring to tighten the hood around the face though as it leaves a lot exposed without it.... I'll update this review after she gets some wear out of it and we see how warm and durable it is. As of right now I would recommend it as a jacket for cooler weather but I don't think it would be good for frigid weather.

Kids Aero Hooded Jacket
My daughter loves this coat. Upon first glance, you'd expect it to be a heavy puffy jacket, but it's actually extremely lightweight and not really for a super cold weather type of day. It is perfect for the cooler months leading into winter. The coat is a super pretty purple color, the zipper works perfectly, the coat has nice pockets that are deep enough for hands, a hood that completely covers the head, and is very cozy according to my daughter (8).

Very lightweight
Very lightweight. The jacket is very thin it almost has the look that it has padding or bubbling to it but it does not. It does fit as it should the colors are nice and vibrant upon washing it did not shrink or fade. But I did have a few issues with the zipper after washing it.

Large would be for 9-10 sizing
I've been a big fan of Arctix clothing. They are reasonably priced and offer a good variety of different outdoor clothing. This jacket is very lightweight. I would call this a fall/spring jacket, not a winter jacket unless your kid runs hot all the time. It's reversible too. The size Large is big for my 7yo so we'll have to put it in her closet for now. I would say it would be good for 9-10yo. Pretty design though!

Fall Jacket
I thought this was a winter jacket it's not warm enough to be that. Though it is a good fall jacket and Leah likes it so we kept it.

Not for super cold days
Cost is very very thin. It runs a little big for the size but I do love the color. Definitely something to wear in between spring and winter. Can add layers since it runs a bit big.

Mild Winter Days or Spring/Fall
This is a jacket, so understand that this isn't really meant for really cold winter weather. This jacket is good for MILD Winter days and cold Spring/Fall days. You can always wear layers under this jacket too. I got this jacket for my 7 y/o daughter. I ordered a size bigger than she usually wears, so I'd say this is sized properly. I got it a size bigger so she'd have some room to grow and ideally this is going to come in handy more towards the end of winter/spring time. This jacket is extremely thin & lightweight, but it's comfortable and my daughter says it keeps her warm enough. The only issues I have due to the jacket's thinness are that the fabric flap tends to catch in the zipper and the lining of the sleeves bunches out at the cuffs when pushing your hands through and has to be tucked back up in.
