This is a truly beautiful, well-made jacket. The snaps in front of the shiny silver zipper were really nicely placed, and I could see myself wearing this all the time here in the rainy Northwest if it had worked out. The material is soft and high-quality, without being scratchy or having that papery feeling that some rain wear has. However, the sleeves were too short for me, which is an issue I struggle with all the time. I want the sleeves to actually cover part or all of my hands. I don't want to use my shirt underneath for coverage. That's the whole purpose of buying any kind of jacket/coat, right? Also, I ordered the 2X because I did want it to be somewhat large to accommodate clothes underneath. This thing was huge, and not in a good way. Sadly, back it goes.

Great Light Coat

I ordered the Calvin Klein Women's Plus-Size Packable Anorak in 1X, and it's a very good loose fit. I like the styling; it appears very well made; and the zipper is sturdy. I've worn it several times already and am very pleased with it. Winters are mild where I live, so I prefer to wear a lighter coat with layers beneath. This has a light lining (no insulation), so it's perfect for all seasons and for travel. Although I shopped similar coats in stores and online (some of which cost considerably less), this one was worth the price, and I highly recommend.

Good design and perfect SoCal weight!

I had a practically identical coat which my dog destroyed, so I was so happy to find this very similar one. I especially love that the hood rolls up into the collar. When the hood is detachable, if you take it off and get caught in rain, you have no hood! This design keeps the hood with you and makes the collar cushiony around your neck when not in use.
