Just what I needed

Not sure why local plumbers could not find this part! I had to purchase because during a repair a local Phoenix plumber actually stole mine! Anytime Plumbing. Glad I found the replacement! I had to pay a real plumber from California to fix the mess that Anytime Plumbing made! Glad that it is fixed after6 months.

Perfect for that special situation

This is an extremely long 8" tub spout designed to be mounted perpendicular to a vertical wall surface. This design is for tub only unless your shower fixture includes a diverter. I was asked to solve a problem in a rental unit where someone had boxed in a tub and had not thought to use a deck mount, tub fixture. The deck is the horizontal surface that surrounds "boxed in"tubs. The following link shows how the issue should have been solved.American Standard ONE Deck-Mount Tub Filler with Personal Shower and with EverClean - 2064,901 There are dozens of styles of deck mount tub fixtures - I chose that one because the picture illustrates the issue. A standard tub spout had been installed and the net result was that some of the water from the spout hit the rim of the the tub, and flowed back to the deck. There are several manufacturer's that make extra long tub spouts but this is the least expensive of the group. None of these long tub spouts are instock item at your local hardware or big box store. There are two options for mounting - 1/2" thread or compression to 1/2" rigid copper tubing. The compression option will be much easier for a "do it yoursellf-er." This long, tub spout is not particularly pleasing to my eye but solves the problem inexpensively. An associated issue is that a wall mounted shower head also throws water onto the horizontal surface of the deck. To solve that problem i will try to adapt one of the these:Shower Enclosure for Clawfoot Tub, Oval Curtain Ring, Bath Ring, Clawfoot Tub Rod - Chrome caslo

Bought used missing parts .but made work

Needed longer sprout for jacuzzi tub , bought it used or returned ,was missing a couple parts but I didn't need them anyway & was able to screw on to fitting

Finally - 8" spigot and a reasonable price

We are so proud of this find! We have a Kohler cast iron tub, but with a 5.25" spigot on the wall, it was dumping water into the overflow on the tub! Looking at plumbing supply houses, they wanted an arm and a leg for all these crazy designer spigots! This one (actually bought 2) does the trick! Easy to install, and now drops the water into the tub well clear of the overflow. We couldn't be more happy!

Great value and looks good

For my garden tub it’s perfect. The builders spout was too short causing water to constantly run on the side of the tub instead of down into the tub. We have hard water and it caused discoloration of the tub which we had repainted. Looks great now and the flow I directed where it should be!

I returned the first one because there was no place to screw in the set screw. It also bothered me that the set screw was loose, rattling around within the spout. I received a replacement, and it appeared the same way, including the loose set screw. The Danze website was no help (after hours). YouTube helped only in that a similar product was shown with detail, and it clearly showed a metal ring for the set screw. The instructions didn’t have any detail or pictures of a metal ring. I looked deep inside the tub spout, and there was a metal ring. It had jammed near the front of the spout. I freed the metal ring, and the spout installed pretty easily. See the pictures for more detail. I think the Danze quality for the spout seems pretty good, but the packaging is poor, and the instructions are dismal.

Tub Spout is Ok, But...

I was impressed with the quality of this longer tub spout. Rugged, and with a great chrome finish. It does keep water drips from the top, flat surface on a Jaccuzi whirlpool tub, which were a problem with the shorter spout we had. The mounting methods left something to be desired. The unit was supposed to come with written installation instructions, but there were none in the box. The manufacturer's response to my question was, "It installs like any other tub spout", which did not really help me. I found my answers on YouTube, after watching several videos on installing tub spouts. What was confusing to me was the fact that this unit facilitated mounting in more than one way. I ultimately chose to use the 1/2" CU stubout as a mount, but learned that the spout is not firmly mounted to the wall! The longer length provides a longer lever arm, and the unit moves when you lay a wash cloth on the spout. I tried placing more lateral force on the spout as I tightened the set screw, but the spout still moves, slightly.

Great product.

Ordered this online as it was the only place I could find an 8 inch spout that didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Still using it today
