A return to sensible trash collection
Finally a bag that will go to the bottom of the 13-gal trash containers! In the last 40 years the vendors have universally cut the depth of their bags from 2' 11" to now less than only 27 inches. Result - when the bag fills, it no longer has enough side length to wrap over the edge of the container, and trash ends up down the sides of everything inside. This is all sold on the new "eco-friendly" premise of "saving the planet from too much waste" --- I say Fie on you! You are just cheating us. This Genuine Joe bag is 33 inches deep, has a well-constructed bottom X-seam, and meets my needs by going to the bottom and wrapping over the sides about 3-4 inches. Thank you! Oh, and the cost is less than 8 1/2 cents per bag and the thickness is the same as the major brands regular offerings - plenty sturdy for kitchen trash. If you need more strength, put 2 bags in! Do note that there are no "twist ties" - but I usually use a short piece of narrow masking tape - easier and quicker, and no dangerous little protrusions. They come in a rather flat box with an access "window/slot" so you can leave flat or turn on its side on the shelf. Completely and gratefully satisfied!

Garbage can liner, pick-up trash & yard waste, organize & store!
Since I buy these, for the most part, just to throw them away, I want to find the cheapest bags in the size I need, that do the job. And I like to buy this sort of thing in bulk, not something I want to have to run out of and head to the store! This is my second order of these bags. I use them for outdoor trash, not long, sharp sticks, which would poke a hole. Just general trash-type stuff that I am going to throw into the dumpster. They work as a trash can liner, too. In addition, I store out-of-season blankets, coats, and such in them in the attic to keep the dust out. They're great after a BBQ to pick up all the leftover mess. Bag up leaves in the fall. The size is large enough to hold an amount that is still lightweight enough to carry. Well, not bricks, that would just be ridiculous! Very useful to have around the house, inside and out! I never want to be without these bags - I use them every day!

After going through a box of 150 I just ordered more.
I bought these bags because of the greater thickness and the fact they don't have ties. I hate making extra waste for no reason, and ties are pointless; these bags have 4 corners that easily tie together and hold well. I think I had one bag tear out of the whole box and it was because I threw a metal hanger in it and the end poked through. Many store bought bags will let grease or acidic juices seep through, I haven't experienced that problem with these at all. With that said I'm extremely impressed with the bags and will keep buying them as long as the price remains fair. The first box I only paid around $13 prime, and this last box I had to buy 3rd party and cost almost $18. I'd like to see these prime and for no more than $15 a box with tax, then set me up for subscribe and save and I'll be a lifer.

Not sure what the negative fuss is about...
So I purchased this brand cautiously after reading so many comments that this trash bag wouldn't be able to hold any sort of bulk or any trash of substance. "Nothing with corners!" they said. Absolute rubbish (pun intended). This is as strong, if not stranger, as a standard kitchen trash bag. I didn't grow up in a family that needed Glad Super Duper Flex Stretch Bags of any sort, and we seemed to manage just as well. I never remember "OH MY, OUR TRASH BAGS ARE TERRIBLE" growing up, and still never have that thought cross my mind. Needless to say these trash bags are absolutely fine. From what I could tell they were the best value on Amazon at my time of purchase (10/2015) and get the job done and done well. I'd highly recommend them. That being said no, these are not outdoor trash bags. If you are planning on bagging mulch or cut down tree limbs then purchase the correct bags for the job (*cough* outdoor bags...).

Fits our "old" trash can
We have a 40 year old tall kitchen trash can - Rubbermaid. It seems newer cans are smaller as are the trash can liners. These fit our older can perfectly without the top pulling away down the sides when you dump something in the can. We're quite happy we found these - sturdy, tough - what's not to like.

These are decent quality -- not the best, not the worst
These are decent quality -- not the best, not the worst. I purchased them because I wanted twist-tie bags. Well, guess what, despite what the product description said (and still says, nine months later), there are no twist ties in the box. I called Amazon Customer Service to complain. We've gone through most of the box by now. The bags hold up fairly well. There's often a rip in the side when I remove them from the kitchen trash can to take them outside, but nothing big enough that anything has fallen out. Unlike some other reviewers, I haven't had problems with the bottom ripping. The bottom of the bag curves instead of being a straight seam. I find this annoying because it's less convenient when you have something you want to cover with the bag. But it's a matter of personal preference.

Great bags. Bags do not come individually folded as advertised.
These are great bags at a great price. I'm glad that I bought them and will be purchasing again when I need more. One of the selling points for me was the product details said the bags came individually folded, which I like because it makes it easier to put a hand full at the bottom of the waste basket for easy replacement. Unfortunately, they were not individually folded but instead came in 6 rolls with perforated edges between the bags. Not a huge deal, but I wanted to mention it so other potential buyers are aware of the error in the product details.

Giving up on these for kitchen use
After purchasing several boxes of these trash bags, we are switching to something else. We're fine with straight up (no flaps, no drawstring) perforated bags on rolls. And we were fine with the thickness of these at first. Then we got a box whose bags were thick on one side and thin on the other - not just a little thin, but translucent. Maybe just a quality control issue, we figured, and got another box. That was much better, but the box after THAT one had bags that were thin everywhere. They're not as thin as the clear, tissue weight bags used in paper shredders, but they're too thin to function well as kitchen trash bags. About half the time we end up double bagging, which wastes money and resources.
