Seem uniform enough to me

There may be some slight variations on length or width throughout each container but it's nothing major. If you're doing very fine work that requires higher precision then I would recommend measuring the pegs beforehand to make sure they're all uniform in size.

These dowels are tight.

These are a great bargain, but be aware that they are going to be a very tight fit if you are using them with a milescraft dowel jig (and possibly any other jig or drill, but that's the one I'm using). Using them in 3/4 inch birch plywood, I've had to manually shave down any that were going in the ends because they were splitting the ply. The ends are also quite square on some, so beware of that when determining depth. I'll probably look for a different option when I need this size again if I don't need a variety pack, but I'll still go with this again if it was the only decently priced single-size option.

Stone Cold ET here just to enlighten all you, WHAT, I said enlighten you, WHAT, enlighten you. This here dowel set, WHAT, is one H*%# of a Da%# good set. WHAT. I figured I was slamming 2 cold ones, WHAT, I said 2 cold ones, WHAT, I said gimme a 6 pack and a set of 1/2 inch dowels and you’ll have a dining table and a tipsy handyman in an hour. WHAT. I said an hour. WHAT. I said 60 Da*% good minutes. And that’s the bottom line, cause Stone Cold ET said so. Buy these, they’re pretty good.

Not the greatest quality but they work.

Middle of the road for dowels. For the price your paying for them you really can't expect them to be amazing. They're not the greatest quality wood and they aren't cut the greatest but they work just fine for most hobby projects.

Dowel pin

After using bunch or 1/4 and 5/16 Dowel pins from General I was disappoint to see how easy they break a part. It seems like they use soft wood instead of hardwood. Other brands use hardwood and cost higher than General but they do not break as easy as these ones. I had to do lots of repairs to replace the dowels after breaking each time under light pressure to the joints.
