Different Connection than the picture

The bulb in the picture shows two straight connectors. The bulb that showed up had connectors that were L-shaped. I was still able to connect the bulb to the microwave, but the bulb doesn't fit correctly in the slot for it. Functional, but not 100% correct.

Perfect replacement bulb for GE microwave

I like that 'Easy to Install' is one of the ratings. The bulb itself is very easy to install, it's getting to the bulb that's the challenge. You just have to get past all the security screws on the microwave cabinet and slide the entire cabinet off the microwave and then you can expose the screw to release the light bulb. Such clever engineering! But yes, this bulb is an exact replacement for the GE bulb and works great.

Good replacement light

Fits perfectly, bright or brighter than the original. The bulb itself is easy to install, taking the microwave apart and reassembling takes a little attention to detail. If it doesn't look right double check,there are tabs inside that hold the cover in correct position.

The Microwave oven light was perfect. The only complaint I have is with the construction of the oven itself. This oven is made so when the light burns out you almost assuredly have to call for a service person to come and change it. If my husband and son weren't so handy with tools and knowledgeable enough to disassemble the oven in order to get to the burned out light and then replace it, I would have had to call someone in to do it, too. And there is something wrong with having to call for a repairman and then pay them just to come to your home and change the light in your microwave oven!

What the Fruck?

It works, however there is a special place in Hell for the GE engineers that designed a microwave oven for which you must remove the outer cover, including 9 screws, two of which are torx security, in order to change a light bulb. Plan on buying a set of those torx security tips for this project and by all means unplug the damn thing before you take it apart. Once you change the bulb carefully plug it in and open the door to make sure the new bulb works before reassembling and do not run the oven during that test! Then, unplug it again, pour yourself a stiff one, and have fun aligning the tabs that join the aluminumcover to the steel frame. 5 Bonus Points if you slice your finger and 10 Bonus Points for each extra screw in your possession at the end of this job. If you aren’t handy a simple call to an appliance repair service, coupled with $150 and two vacation days (one for the initial visit and one for the actual repair) will save you the headache.

good replacement for the original

the bulb I received was not as shown in the picture. the pins were angled. but the spacing fit my microwave just fine, and after reassembly of the unit the light works great.
