Works Great

I have a very expensive heated Milwaukee jacket that got a small burn hole in it. So I shopped for quite a while looking for the right product made from the right material it would hopefully stand up well and be unnoticeable. This seems to have fit the bill and the patch seems to be standing up very well.

Blends right in

I ended up melting a hole in a jacket of mine and these patches were the perfect solution. You get a nice variety in size and shape and it blends in perfectly. I have washed my coat once since applying and had no issue with lack of adhesion. Good value for money too.

Adhere well. Stupid shapes.

These are great patches for goretex winter wear. They adhere well, the edges don’t curl and they seal minor tears and slices really well. But the strange shapes are not something everyone wants to sport. We’ve used all the “normal”, geometric patches and have only the oddball shapes left. Will probably end up cutting those into normal shapes before using.

Great product!

My son had a small rip in his coat and it was an area that would have been difficult to stitch. Instead of buying a new coat halfway through the season and then have to get a new one the following year, I opted to try these patches. I was pleasantly surprised how well they worked. The patch we used covered the hole and has held up for the rest of the winter. Glad we didn’t have to buy a new coat and thankful we have more patches on hand in case we need them. Great product!

Excellent product for my Patagonia

It worked great for patching some parts on my Patagonia. The only suggestion that I have is that it comes only with a black color. Black is a conservative and works ok on my wavy blue down jacket, but I wish there were other colors too.

Classic GEAR AID but with a twist

I like the GEAR AID product very much and was happy to see the little shapes of forest themes. The only downside is that if you use GEAR AID you know there should be no sharp corners for patches. Some of the little characters have sharp corners and do not survive long with much wear or first time washing... just trim up a little bit and it will be fine. You also get geometric shapes which hold up like GEAR AID should and are cut to last. The Sasquatch arms, the sticks, and corners on stars will peel on you, but if you know about how to properly apply, you can expect this and just trim them.

So easy to use and surprisingly durable! My down jacket now has several on there and the fun designs almost make it look intentional. I will use these over and over!!!

Patches work well but different shapes/sizes needed

These patches adhere well to winter clothing and gear, but they are very thin and therefore difficult to handle. You don't get a second chance if they don't land exactly where they're supposed to! The shapes are also challenging. While the buffalo shape and the wolf are cute and look great on clothing (as though they're supposed to be there), it's difficult to position them without wrinkles when there are thin pieces (i.e., the legs of the animals) poking out in all directions. I would also wish for pieces that are long, thin oblongs; two of the things I needed to patch were cuts in fabric that none of these patches really covered adequately. I do recommend this product because it does solve the problem of holes or cuts in fabric that can't be mended in any other way, but I would hope the manufacturer would consider that often consumers are patching cuts and not just holes.

An excellent product

I used this product to patch a tear in a Berghaus down filled coat (black in colour). The patch was easy to apply, is barely visible and has stuck to the coat evenly and well. I am very pleased with the product and recommend it without hesitation.

Cute and effective

The patches are very cute. Makes the small rips I’ve gotten in my puffy jacket less angering having cute stars and a squirrel covering them up. Tenacious tape is a staple and, in my opinion and research, the gold standard gear patch for down garments. Holds amazingly when used properly. Also fantastic in a pinch when out in the wilderness for almost any gear rip or tear. A little expensive getting these individual patches over just a roll or squares, which is why I gave 4 over 5 stars, but worth it for me.

Great product

In bought an expensive coat that kept ripping and tearing. I was upset and didn’t want to give up on the coat so I bought these to patch it up until I could take advantage of the warranty. They are easy to apply and have done the trick, kept all the down inside and have not peeled at all. They’ve even withstood a wash. I recommend these for any repair!
