This chair has helped with my herniated disc!
I love this chair! I have been sitting on it for about a month, and I have now actually just gotten rid of my (not so) old desk chair. Wanted to keep the old one as a backup, but I now have no need for it. This chair has helped my back tremendously. I have a pretty bad herniated disc which was causing me horrible sciatic pain even with sitting. I could only sit for about 30 minutes before the pain would be unbearable and I would have to go lie down. Now, together with chiropractic treatment, using this chair has helped me to ultimately be much more productive at work -- I have a desk job and am sitting for 8+ hours a day. I will add two things. 1) I do not recline on the back of the chair. So I cannot say if it's sturdy enough for that. 2) I am a plus-sized adult, about 5'4". The height is perfect and and thus far, it's been sturdy enough for me to sit on for an extended period of time. Two thumbs way up from me. I also want to add that you do have to follow the inflation instructions. Inflate it, wait 24 hours, deflate 50%, then re-inflate. If you do not, the ball will not be fully inflated and you will think that it's the wrong sized ball. You're welcome! :-)

Low Rider - Buy 2" Extender - still low for 5'4" people at work desk
Love the ball chair, very stable and comfortable on my SI joints and hip. after sitting a couple of minutes I leaned back with arms in the air and got a gentle thoracic adjustment to my spine. Cons: 1) I am a weakling and had to bang the frame on my tile floor to get the wheels to fully set, and after realizing the chair is too low to type on my keyboard and desk, I had to ask a neighbor to pull the wheels out to add the 2" Extenders which have to be ordered separately. I am 5'4" and really like the height and fit as an exercise ball but truly need about 4" additional to have proper horizontal typing on the under desk keyboard which is 26" off the floor. My desk is 30" high and I had to add another 2" cushion to write comfortably. I have the "Soft Care" foam cushion with the tailbone cut out and it is perfect to go across the ball and provides even more stability for desk work while still moving for core-building. 2) The lumbar support is nice and a great shape but the plastic is quite hard. Probably would not bother most but I have a lot of lumbar and thoracic issues, would be good if MFG provided a cushion there. I will figure something out since my Soft Care lumbar support is too thick.

Ball isn't too small - it REALLY needs to be inflated.
I too thought the ball was too small (Round 1), but upon further reading, I did a second fill of air after a few hours and voila - the ball is a perfect fit, (Round 2). Great for my lower back when I'm not using my standing desk. Be patient and give it a lot more air than you think it needs. I used the hand pump included in the purchase. I love this chair. I have three of them.

Great for sciatic pain & pregnancy
I NEVER write reviews and I thought this was worth it. I purchased the Gaiam ball chair in March of 2020 when I found out I was pregnant and was getting sent home to work because of the Covid shut down. Worth reading the review!! I had bad sciatic pain when I was pregnant and my doctor suggested a ball chair. I thought he had lost his noodle! I went ahead and purchased and WHAT A LIFE SAVER!!! This ball chair was not only a blessing while I was pregnant but also during Covid when I had to work from home the next 2 years. Fast forward to today… my ball chair last week sprung a small leak from the metal support at the front of the ball chair. SO… I tried ordering a new gaiam ball. A 75 cm came and it was WAY too big. Then I looked at this listing and realized I needed a 52cm gaiam chair. That came and it was WAY to small! ACK!! Before ordering another ball again I figured I would go to the local Big 5 and get a yoga ball. I got a 65cm (GG Gear Fitness Exercise Ball) just like the pictures I posted and it was too big soooooo back to Big 5 I went and got the 55cm ball. So far it seems to fit perfect. I will let it sit and on Monday when I come to work I will inflate again (per the instructions) and I should be good to go! Now, in the pictures I posted, I went to ACE hardware and got two 5/16” flat washers for the support bar because the plastic was starting to break and that support bar was coming loose and is what cause the puncture in my original ball. Hope this review help someone else from buying and returning so many yoga balls like I did!! Over all, I love this chair so much after being so skeptical and if I needed to I would buy another in a heartbeat!

Nice yoga ball chair
Love it and so do my students who try to steal it from me. Just a few complaints. When we roll, our feet often lock the wheels with our heels. The screws the hold the metal bar in place just won’t stay on, but the bar has stayed put in spite of this. Overall, I’d still recommend to anyone.

The ball really isn't big enough
I like the set up of the chair as it makes balancing on the ball much more comfortable. I confess, I didn't measure my desk before I made this purchase as it seems like a generically sized object. When I received the original chair, which says it is good for someone between 5 feet and 5 feet 11, I couldn't sit on the ball comfortably while in the frame because my knees were so close to my chest--I did wait 24 hours for the full inflate and tried sitting again. It was still too short. I purchased the risers that can be added to the casters and added them to the chair. This added about 2.5 inches of height to the base. The ball is still too short and doesn't inflate enough to get me out of the "knees in the chest zone." I'm 5'7 is to 5'8. With the knee situation, the chair really didn't work for me as it is sold. I'm currently making do with a larger exercise ball that I had at home, but I don't recommend buying this product as a single unit. It seems like the frame is an okay product, if short. The ball is tiny. Buying the frame, a larger ball, and the caster risers separately seems like the only way to make this really work.

He mejorado mi postura.
