Flexible and tough gloves

I burn through work gloves working in the yard and these seem just as good or better than other leather gloves I have used. I had been using the leather Wells Lamont (?) gloves that Costco used to sell, I would end up with the fingers wearing out on those after a few weeks of use. These gloves seem to be holding up well, they have a strong leather smell but are flexible and the XL fit my hands well, not all gloves fit so that’s a big plus. The sticjing seems solid and they do their job. At the time they were ~$16 for three pairs of gloves which made them a great deal, highly recommend at that price.

It was good while it lasted

I chose to try these G&F gloves after seeing a set (3 pair) in Amazon Warehouse. When they arrived, I swore I'd never buy any other brand of work glove ever again! That was shortly before this past winter, so it has taken some time to be ready to place another order. When this 2nd order came, I was happy to pay full price. When they arrived, I had to do a doubletake to make sure I was sent the correct brand. These gloves were AWFUL! If you notice in the first pic, glove #1 is from the first order, #2 from this order, and #3 is a Kinco Buffalo glove I purchased in town today. #1 and #3 have the elastic sewn correctly in the wrist, but not in any of the #2 gloves. They ALL lay flat, so there is no form-fitting with these whatsoever. In pic #2, I show one of the more noticeable defects in the leather. There are enough tiny defects to keep me counting for an hour or more. In pic #3 you can see an example of how sloppy the craftsmanship is. When I put on any of the gloves from this order, there is excessive leather bunching between the fingers. It's not "bad", but it's definitely there. One of the gloves is actually quite uncomfortable to wear for this reason. Also, this order is a bit larger in size than the first order. I suspect, however, that the first order might have been listed XL when it was actually size L, so cannot really grade on that point. Overall, this 2nd order of G&F gloves forced me to buy in town again, and for a higher price. The first set was amazing, but this 2nd set really leaves me not wanting to purchase again. I seriously doubt any one of these gloves would last half the time of the first-to-fail gloves from the first order. These are going back! As for my rating, I give the first order of G&F gloves 5 stars. I give the 2nd order just 1 star. So total score averages to 3 stars.

Soft and smooth leather. Great leather smell!

Smells like baseball mitts used to smell. Supple gloves don't hold up to abrasion as good as the tough ones but that's the tradeoff for comfort. Will definitely buy again.

Price is per glove and not for pair other than that glove is fine.

I assumed that price was for pair and not for one glove. So It is my dam fault that I did not read the description correctly. So it is expensive pair of gloves.

I’m a metal worker and I tried many differ types of gloves and this ones are very good quality and they do the job very well they wear a bit tight so for me that usually use Large I will need an extra large and probably that’s why they opened up on the thumb I attached a pic and it’s after a week of heavy metal work so oil some water and weldings...

Actually a pretty decent set of soft driving gloves

These are soft driving gloves. Do not expect them to endure more than a month if you're using them for handing materials like wood or masonry. I usually have fingers poking thru the tips within a couple weeks. I DO use them for materials handling and destroy em with ease. But I prefer the soft leather so I can feel what I'm lifting.. So I'm ok with tossing a pair every month. This review was updated 8-22. I have noticed some of the finger tip seams are not finished as well as they used to be. Not terrible as I can trim any excess that is annoying.. however the stiches are also questionable on some of my recent pairs. Did you change manufacturers? Have you lowered your QC standards? .. I have 5 remaining pairs that were delivered in spring of 22 and I've found a few individual gloves that should not have passed inspection.

Quality Gloves

As usual delivery was fast from Amazon. These are good quality leather gloves. I like leather they seem to last longer. The price is right also. I usually pay this much for one pair, it’s a bonus having 3 pairs.

An ok work glove. We'll see how they hold up. Seeing I'd pay more at local stores then I would online so really no regrets. Review update: So these gloves don't hold up to regular use. I have 1 pair already with the sitching left go. Good thing their not expensive and I won't be buying anymore.
