Perfect costume

This was the perfect costume! My famil attended a Halloween party as characters from The Wizard of Oz, I was the wicked witch. The costume was comfortable all night.

FunWorld Women's Plus Goth Maiden Witch, Black, 16W-24W Costume Okay you guys, I'm SO RELIEVED this fit, I had to come in here and leave a review immediately in case it helps anyone else out who was looking at this costume and concerned it wouldn't fit. I know women's sizing is ALL OVER the place, so let me tell you a bit about me. I'm 5'7" and a 40D - 40DD bra size. I have pants in a 20 that are baggy, and pants in a 22 that are tight, go figure. This fits almost like it was made for me, I'd be hard pressed to find a dress for any event that fit better. I'm not very busty for plus size woman, so I know that some bustier women with smaller pants would struggle to get this around their bosom. My largest area is around my hips/midsection, and this dress covered that just fine, with comfortable amount of room to spare. So if your build sounds like mine, but you were worried, go for it! I read all the reviews and I was planning to buy a hat, since everyone said theirs was way too small. I even have a giant head and can't typically wear any fashion hats, and I can wear this hat. So that could mean a couple things... they company has finally put the adult hat in the package, or I had a fluky hat that fit great. It not only fits great, but it's a very cool hat... feathers and netting and fun details... so I really do hope that if you order this, you get the same great hat that I did. The costume is very long. On my 5'7" frame in a medium heel it still grazed the floor. As for quality, it's about what I expected, but prettier materials. Stitching seems okay, although sloppy in a couple places. The color is a lovely shade of green, and the textures are fun. It of course arrived very wrinkled. I'm hoping a few days on the hanger will help it out, but I'm sure I'll have to steam it. I'd give it five stars just for the relief I felt when it fit so lovely, and when the hat actually fit too! Although the quality isn't quite good enough for that fifth star - although worth the price to me! If I take care of it, and don't trod upon it too much, I'll be able to get a few years out of it, and that's more than I expected for sure!

I ordered this to play a witch in an elementary school fall carnival's "Witch's Liar" and I was a big hit! I am generally a size 20-22 and the plus size did fine on me. I am 5' 8" tall, but it was too long in the front, so it had to be hemmed. I think that's a good idea though. Even if you're tall, it should be long enough for you. If you're short it can be hemmed. I like that the sleeves are very sheer. I didn't get too hot, which concerned me about the other witch costumes listed. However, if you do green witch make-up, you will also need to cover your arms with green make-up since your arms DO show in this costume. I dashed into WalMart the day of my event and picked up a couple of tubes of their cheap green Halloween cream make-up. It worked like a charm! The ribbon that laces up the front is very tiny satin ribbon. I wish it were a little thicker and more substantial, but it was okay. The hat is beautiful, but like several others have said, is very small. I sewed in a 3/8" black elastic inside the brim to slip under my chin and it didn't move all night! I had worried about wearing witch shoes and stripped witch socks, but the dress is so long and it was dark enough that plain black shoes and socks worked fine for my costume. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know how it's going to hold up. **fingers crossed on that**

Beautiful costume!

This is a really beautiful piece, it seems to run a little large, but I'd rather have a little room, so works for me! It is long, I'm 5-6" but with a small heal of maybe an inch it will be just perfect! The hat is adorable but does not fit my head, perhaps it's meant to just "sit" on the head a little sideways vs. pulled down like a normal hat, I'm not sure.

Great Plus sized costume - Witch / Wench / Pirate

very happy with my purchase (especially since I found it a week prior to Halloween for less than $20 with prime delivery). I'm a size 18/20 and it fit nicely. Not snug at all. In fact - this is one of the most comfortable costumes I've worn in a long time. While it was a warm day when I wore it, so I only wore a tank top and leggings underneath, I could easily have fit a jacket underneath. The material is not flimsy - velvety in the back and decent silk in the front. The lace up portion of the bodice is well made. I totally agree with all...it's LONG! I'm 5'5' and cut off 3+ inches. Due to timing, I didn't bother hemming...I just stood on a stepstool and had my husband cut away freehand. I rec'd lots of compliments. I can totally see tweaking the costume so I could be a Wench for Renn Faire or as a Pirate. I didn't bother with the included hat since I have a huge head of hair and already own a great pirate hat I bought years ago at a local party store. If I wanted to use it - I would just have bobby pinned it to stay in place.

Overall Happy

Dress is actually nicer than it looks in the picture. Fits well and hides the tummy fat pretty well too (not that I have any). It has velvety material as well as silky and lace materials. I tried it on it fits well and is pretty comfy. (I am five foot ten)and it isn't quite floor length as shown in the picture but definitely plenty long and a good length to show off my witch shoes and matching socks. If you are tall and worried this, like many other Halloween costumes will be to short, I would say up to 6 feet probably won't look too bad. I would say if you are under 5 foot 5 that you'll want to either buy something to poof it up or be prepared to do some pinning. I think this could be hemmed pretty easily without infringing on the integrity of the costume. The hat is very wrinkled coming out of the box and definitely small. The hats saving grace is that the brim is nice and wide so it looks nice on when secured. It barely stays on my head, but can be pinned. Just to give you an idea, the hat fit my toddler very well...Overall quite pleased with the whole set up. looks fitted. Dress is versatile enough that I could be something like a maiden princess or a vampire and still use it again next year.
