A powerhouse... if you have the funds, buy it.
FAST FACTS: PROS: Well made, powerful, easy to use, dishwasher safe, stable and not too loud. CONS: Still loud, expensive. DETAILED REVIEW: Let me preface this review by saying that this is my third Vita-Mix. My first was a Professional 300. I sold it for a powerful and supposedly equal Braun because it had more features... but the Braun died a few months after owning it while I was making peanut butter. So I bought a Vitamix Ascent A3300, and I loved it. The only reason I got this Propel 750 Series was for the presets. I will compare the 2 models in this review. Onto the review... The Vitamix comes nicely boxed and protected. It's ready to go immediately out of the box and included is a small cookbook to get you started. The Vitamix is made from high quality plastics. It feels well assembled, robust, and substantial. The switches and knob feel smooth and pleasant while operating. There is a cord wrap under the base. It's a large blender but fits under my cabinets well. Compared to the Ascent A3300 it is similarly sized, and while I miss the Acent's digital display I prefer the Propel's front positioned power button and pre-programmed modes. The Propel's jars to not communicate with the base the same way they do on the Ascent, so you can turn on the Propel without the jar in place. It is very simple to use. There is a power switch, a speed control knob with some pre-programmed settings, and a pulse switch. You can pulse at any speed setting. The Vitamix is incredibly powerful and finesses foods. I use it primarily to make peanut butter. I do this about twice a week. I also make the occasional smoothie, salad dressing, and pesto. It makes wonderfully smooth peanut butter, but I do need to use the included tamper to push the peanuts into the blades, otherwise they just create a cavity down the middle of the mixing jar. Once they turn into more of a smooth butter they flow smoothly in the jar. Smoothies and other liquified foods also create a nice tornado-like shape pulling foods down into the jar. All of the foods I used the Vitamix to create were created to perfection. One thing of note - the pre-programmed spread mode was not sufficient to create peanut butter. I had to run it twice. Compared to the Ascent, the Propel is an equal when it comes to making excellent food. While running the Vitamix is stable. It doesn't tip, vibrate excessively, or move around the countertop. On the lower speeds it is not terribly loud, but when you turn it up it gets quite loud to the point where having a conversation is difficult. While it is loud it sounds refined and never like it's struggling. Compared to the Ascent the Propel is slightly quieter and less frantic sounding. Clean-up is a breeze. You can use the built-in cleaning setting and just add some dish soap and hot water to the jar. That mode works well for most foods, but sticky foods like peanut butter do not clean completely that way. Thankfully you can put the jar, lid, and tamper in the dishwasher on the Propel. They came out perfectly on the bottom rack of my Bosch dishwasher. The Ascent's jar was not dishwasher safe. All in all... an expensive powerhouse, but worth it.

5 SOLID Stars -- Hands-down the BEST Professional Blender ever!!!!
Anyone who has read my past review knows that I seldom (if ever) give 5 Stars -- Even excellent products are not 5 Star-worthy. And yet, quite simply, this Blender is the BEST I have ever used!! 10 variable speeds (and 5 preset programs) give you the freedom and flexibility to subtly control nearly every aspect of food preparation. This Blender will make a wide variety of dishes from ice cream to hot soup to nut butters onboard within the blender. Can you pour hot soup from YOUR blender? The only limit to the numerous uses and applications are your own imagination: exotic cocktails, amazing unique dips, sauces, salsas and "custom" baby food! Make your own hummus, OR a custom frappuccino OR an herb laden butter OR rich healthy juice OR unique flavored waffle/pancake batter OR a tasty slushy /italian ice treat OR experiment with a wide variety of smoothies -- the creative possibilities are literally endless! As opposed to store-bought highly processed foods, YOU can control the ingredients that YOU want to use by adding elements and flavors of your own choice. And bring your dietary restrictions, 'cause they are welcome! What do you need? Sugar-free? Gluten free? Low-salt? Vegetarian? Lactose-free? Kosher? Nut sensitivity? Good health and great taste live side-by-side in this wonderful blender! The powerful motor is MORE than 2 horsepower and can handle nearly anything you'd want to process: it destroys ice cubes instantly, yet it can also handle very delicate emulsifying tasks. Using the pulse it can even chop foods easily and quickly. It is a little loud, but that's because it's motor is so strong -- (Frankly, I used other blenders that were louder and not nearly as powerful). And it's even self-cleaning! Granted, it is a little pricey, but Quality doesn't COST, it pays: take good care of this blender and it will last for years, and could end up being a valued family heirloom to pass down to your family. Use the best professional Blender that great Chefs all ever the world use. Simply. The. Best. Unequivocally, 5 SOLID Stars

Awesome blending power!
This thing will blend anything. We just made margaritas for cinco de Mayo and it was so so easy and fast. Clean up was easy, and glad there aren’t too many parts to undo or put back together.

Comparison with Vitamin Ascent 2500
The media could not be loaded. If you're trying to decided between the Propel 750 and the Ascent 2500, please check out my video. Things to consider: 1. Both machines are equally powerful, but the Propel is a touch quieter to operate. 2. The Ascent has a built-in timer, the Propel does not. This can come in handy for long blends. 3. The Propel has the classic Vitamin styling and is a touch smaller on the countertop, which I prefer. It's also lighter and tends to move around less during operation. 4. There are significantly more attachments available for the Ascent, like the food processor, which I use a lot. 5. The Propel's new rubberized lid and handle make manipulation easier. 6. The Propel has two additional auto settings, including a cleaning mode, which I love! Overall, the Propel strikes me as the better machine if you're not already invested in Vitamix's attachments. If you are, like I am, you'll probably prefer the Ascent series. Overall, I prefer the look and usability of the Propel. If I were new to Vitamin, I'd pick the Propel!
