Fun goals for the backyard

After putting these together, they are very easy to stake down in the yard and handle the velocity of the soccer balls I kick into the goal, as well as those from my 8 yo son and his friends. They are easy to fold up and store. Sometimes the poles disconnect from each other inside the sleeve. This is an easy fix and doesn't really impact the function of the goal. This might be the only reason I give it 4 Stars. The connectors for the poles do not snap together. They are just held together by pressure. If that were fixed, it would be 5 stars all around. All that said, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Straightforward. It's a folding soccer goal.

No frills. It's a soccer goal that folds up into a teardrop shape. I didn't need anything fancy, but I needed it to work, and it does. 5 stars.

Low quality

Functional, but flimsy. Falls over with even gentle wind. Constantly having to reinsert the connections during play. This is the sort of product that reminds me that I am too poor to buy cheap things. I wish I'd splashed out on a few more bucks to get quality goals.

The newer models are much improved. Good customer service.

My original set, ordered in 2020, kept having the segments of the poles, held by rigid plastic connectors, come apart when in use and when being folded after just one season of use with U7 age group. At the beginning of this second season of use a few snapped making the goals unusable. I emailed the replacement parts group as the website suggested to see if I could get a few more connectors from them to get a little more life out of goals. Instead, they sent me, quite quickly, a whole new set of goals. Must be a known issue, because they have redesigned them to use one pole instead of multi segment poles (so more like a tent). I just got them and have only used them once, but so far, HUGE improvement in functionality. I can't say if new ones ordered will definitely have the new poles, but if they do, they are way better than the old ones. And to reiterate...very painless process submitting the request, proof of purchase (.pdf of Amazon order), and then getting them.

just keeps falling down

can't keep it up, falls over too much. not sturdy at all so you have to stop the game, pick it back up and then pray it doesn't collapse again.

Just have to learn how to fold up

Took me a while to learn how to fold them to get back into the bag, other than that...solid so far. Kids loves the 6' wide net and very portable to park, grass, field, etc.

Light weight and easy to assemble

Overall it's a great product except for the size is not really 4*6, it's definitely not 6 feet wide after assembly. Sturdiness is good and easy to assemble.

Great net when assembled but breaks so easy

I bought this net to play soccer at the park with my son Zavier. The first few times we really liked it as it could fold really compact but it took a lot of pressure on the folding to fit it in the bag. After about 5 folds the fiberglass broke inside the plastic clips that hold it. Amazon was great with the exchange for another. I thought we just had bad luck, however the second one only last 2 folds and the same issue happened. The second fold necessary to fit in the bag puts so much pressure on the fiberglass that it will break. Once that happens the nets are useless.

Poor quality

Purchased in March - used in April & May. I bought 2 pairs. One pair the plastic connectors snapped the first time I folded both nets to put in the storage bag. Franklin was good about sending out replacements. The nets worked OK in April & May. I stored them in their storage bags until last week when we took them out for September practice. Many of the fibreglass rods had snapped while the nets were stored & unused. All 4 nets had multiple rods snapped. A couple more of the connectors snapped as well. Nets are now useless. $195CDN for 2 months of use. I highly recommend NOT purchasing the Franklin nets.

Cheap but cheap

Should have read the other reviews before buying. This is cheaper than other 6 foot goals, but only because a) they don't do any factory assembly, and b) instead of one long fibreglass pole they give you a dozen short segments with crappy joiners. You have to get the segments to stay together while you try to feed the 10 foot length into the fabric. Took me way too long. The connectors tend to cover undone after assembly too. Rubbish.

Bad quality and dangerous

Bad product . it break/snapped alone in the car! I was happy nobody was near because when it snapped some plastic rod poke violently through the bag

Poor quality

I placed an order for this item couple of months ago. After only 4 games the net ripped on both nets and we are no longer able to use them going forward. The net collapses very easily with the smallest shot on the net and you have to spend a couple of minutes to re-erect. Very disappointed with the quality. Total waste of money!
