Make sure orient the bowl correctly when folding!
I was about to return this and write a negative review when I realized that there is actually an interior and exterior side to the bowl. Look for the "Side out exterior" label, you should be able to read it from the outside of the assembled bowl. The first pic is of it correctly oriented, the second pic is backwards (exterior as the interior). This puts extra stress because the fold lines have an orientation and won't fold as snuggly. I've noticed at least one review where the bowl was turned inside out and the reviewer complaining about how the snaps aren't strong enough to engage. Now I haven't used this long enough to comment on the long term durability, but the orientation definitely matters! With that said, I love this concept and its ability to just slide into the pack without taking up any space!

Light weight, fairly easy to use, multiple uses.
These bowls are pretty cool. They can work as bowls (obviously), but also cutting board and plate, you can scoop or channel water from low flowing water sources into a filter bag, and on a recent trip, I had a hole in the outside pouch on my backpack. I used the flattened bowl to cover the hole in the pouch so other smaller items wouldn't slip out. Small grips include the snaps can be difficult to snap. I have only used this item once in the backcountry so far. I didn't have an issue with the bowl unsnapping, but I worry that might happen. Also, my mashed potatoes ended up oozing into the cervices between the folded parts of the bowl. Not a major issue, but it made things slightly more messy. One last minor nit-pick, the flattened bowl doesn't always pack neatly into pockets in my pack where I wanted to store it. It will always fit in the main compartment, but if I want to use it for cutting something for a quick lunch on the trail, I don't necessarily want to fish around for the plate in the main compartment. These are minor gripes. Overall, I definitely like and recommend these collapsible bowls. I will definitely be bringing one or both of these bowls with me on future trips.

Great
Happy with this and would buy more if I needed more. Can't speak to the long term durability but from what I've seen so far should be pretty good. May take a few seconds to figure out how to actually fold into a bowl and secure the snaps but overall very happy.

A flat bowl??
These origami bowls are great! I’m a commercial truck driver with a penchant for salads. They take up little room and I use them as bowls, plates, or cutting boards. They’re portable and really easy to clean. I’m planning on taking these camping or hiking based on those points alone. 9/10 overall. My only concerns are 1) how long will the snaps hold up, and 2) material fatigue at corner stress points. I imagine these will last quite a while, but I’m sure they have a limited lifespan. While the snaps hold alarmingly firm with lateral strain, repetitive unfastening may wear the plastic prematurely. The plastic is flexible, and similar to those thin cutting boards. I’m thinking the corner points will eventually develop small holes/tears that will cause liquids to drip out. It all depends on how frequently you fold them, I guess. All in all, I’m really liking these; I might get the three piece set too. 5/5: easy to clean 4/5: sturdiness 5/5: durability

Cool for lightweight camping
Work as promised. You'll need to bend all the folds a bit to get the buttons to hold, but otherwise, they are perfect for lightweight camping as plates, bowls or cutting board.

packs flat
I keep these in the car for picnics. They work well. They pack down nice and flat and make storage (and cleaning) easy. We'll see how they do after a few un/folding cycles.

If it wont stay snapped, you have it inside out
The first time I folded it, I had it inside out and it wouldn't stay snapped. This is what is happening to the reviewers that are leaving 1 star. To fix this, just turn it right-side out. The text goes on the outside of the bowel when folded. Once you know how to fold it, you will love it.

Have not used on trip
We haven't used on a trip, but did test it out and the buttons holds well. Put in larg ziplock, slides easily next to laptop in backpack. Lightweight, thin.

A reasonably sized camping bowl for a full size human!!
Very lightweight and compact. After limited use the snaps seem pretty strong and I think it should last for a reasonable amount of time. Folds/Creases don't hold super well, so additional (strategic) pressure is required to ensure they don't unsnap when setting up the bowl. That could end poorly with a hot soup, or similar. Be careful when using!

Can't wait to buy more
Amazing product that I've reccomended highly to friends and family for anything from hunting, camping, and even day trips or an easily storable water bowl for your dog in the car.

Snaps are super weak, stopped working after first use
I really like the bowls, but I used them once, and the snaps now won’t stay together. They aren’t strong enough and just pop open. Would not be good if you were eating so hot soup.
