Great storage value !
A good bag to keep all my odds and ends in. Keeps my Jeep organized. Seems like it should last a long long time.

A DECENT PACK!
REALLY NEAT!..... A Really Good Pack At A Fair Price: A really good and all around pack, Will work good as a general field pack, Or can be a mainstay Or a bug out pack!.... This pack is NOT nylon O.K it's made out of Heavy Canvass or Duck and critical parts are double stitched so w care it should last a long time. Yes i was using a cheapie day pack for Hunting and my Jaunts in the woods but this pack will now replace that sic!. PROS: Good Heavy Materials Places for extra fasteners and hangers Inside pouch big enough to hold a 15-16 in Laptop Plenty of room and tie downs. CONS: The Pack is NOT waterproof The buckles and keepers ARE too small and i had to enlarge mine... Now not being Nylon this isnt a cargo or an existence pack, Buy a big rucksack w frame if you want to haul or drag heavy loads This pack is eerily reminiscent of British M37 pack Or our U.S M28 or 34 gear like as used in WWII!..... Yes there are 2 sizes here a 16 and a 19 in pack, So wanting a bigger one i sprung for the 19 inch and am quite happy w this one. This particular pack is bigger than the small Alice tho a LOT smaller then a 'Frame Pack' so in a way you get the best of both worlds. "In short a really nice pack at a fair price as its rather a M37 on steroids and I am definitely a Happy Camper!..... So why just 4 STARS?????. 1.Pack is NOT ready to go out of box as i had to manually resize the buckles. 2.No heavy bottom piece stitched on, No water proof bag included... 'But these things aside this is truly a good pack and a bargain for the money!..... IndianaED

large men rejoice!
this is "first impressions" review, as i received this rucksack a mere thirty minutes ago. i took a solid ten minutes inspecting things and even placed a few of my heavier goods in the bag in order to test the fit and feel of the straps on my shoulders. i'm a big guy, and stumbling across a backpack that doesn't look comical and ride obnoxiously high on my back is a rare occurrence. well, this one just so happens to be a winner... construction seems solid. the canvas material appears to be heavy duty and likely to stand the test of time. i see folks saying that they don't expect it to have a lifespan comparable to their old military surplus versions of this style, but it seems genuinely well made. no complaints. the main storage area is crazy large, as are the outside pockets. you'll be surprised by just how roomy things are. one negative that i was really hoping to avoid was the strap issue. unfortunately, mine was no exception to this apparent design flaw, but it's hardly the end of the world. i understand not wanting to mod a new item, but it's a lot of bag for a small sum of money. grab a file, lightly work on each side of the metal covers, and they'll feed through just fine. i'd definitely buy again. can't wait to try her out.

Sturdy pack for bushcrafting and general camping
Hauls a lot of gear in a a sturdy cotton canvas pack. Water proofed with oilcloth treatment and it's good to go anywhere you want it. The metal tabs on the end of the straps are merely compression for from factory so the do pop off on their own after a while. So I jumped on it while I was waterproofing the bag, popped them off and refit them with epoxy glue and compression fit, so they wont budge now. You dont need to spend $400 on a bougie bushcraft backpack, this will do more than what most folks need, especially if you can tell which end of the needle is the pointy bits and do some modifications, like sewing an extra loop of canvas on to act as an axe keep for your hatchet or scout axe and maybe also add some molle webbing if you want the added versatility.

I like it ,I would sugest this pack
So I would sugest this pack for people who want a pack that seems like it will last a good while. I carry a backpack alot for various reasons and needed something that could take a beating , OK so onto the pack itself : the canvas weight is 22oz as far as I have researched and experianced, The front pocket is very deep and wide, the side pockets are just as deep all three have a hood like top flap that comes around the sides that really seals the pockets, The main compartment is huge there is a fabric pocket on the back panel with a velcro flap closure it's pretty deep but the fabric does seem a little thin but i guess we'll see how it holds up.There is also a pocket on the main compartments flap closure on the inside it is also has two small velcro pacthes for closures I really think it would be better off as a zipper on the top flap but oh well , also I was thinking of adding a zippered panel to the main compartment for extra protection since the main com[artment is a drawstring pull closure , oh and I allmost forgot everybody is complaining about the straps being weird and what-not I figured them out pretty quick and I like their design
