Much better than expected
As an occasional tux wearer (once or twice a year) I've had several different pair of patent leather shoes. These Florsheim's are the best I've worn. Sure, you can buy a $300-$450 pair from some top-end hand-crafters; but for the price, these are hard to beat. Based on the reviews, I decided to go down one-half size but go extra-wide. That decision worked perfectly. Good, solid fit.

OUTSTANDING SHOE
First off all, i was hesitant on ordering this shoe, but finally pulled the trigger and i don't regret it. The shoe is amazing, size one size down, Normally i wear an 8, got the 7 and is fits like a glove....no break in time needed. Pretty sure i will dance all night with this Tux shoes... got compliments from my daughter that she approves so i am happy. Tap toe you cant go wrong....... buy it!

Memory Lane
I was concerned the shoes would not be wide enough nor, comfortable. Hindsight I should have known I had nothing to fear. I used to wear Florsheim exclusively back in the 2000’s. I love the fact the heals had nails in them which never set off the airport magnetometers. I traveled a lot back before the shoe bomber gave the Government this great idea that we should all take our shoes off. But alas. I digress. I have always been happy that I could spend 8 hours in Florsheim shoes either teaching or traveling and my feet never complained when I got to where I was laying my head that night. Fast forward to today and these didn’t disappoint either. I look forward to getting many years out of this pair as I won’t be wearing them that often!

Shoes seem okay but they weren’t packed very well. Seem like they might have been used? No original box.

Comodisimos pero bastante grandes.
Un zapato que en comodidad es dificil de equiparar. El diseño bonito y bastante clásico, sin embargo es necesario comprar los zapatos mínimo una talla menos ya que vienen bastante grandes. En mi caso que soy un talla 9, los compre 8.5 (después de leer los comentarios) y aun así he debido ser mas precavido y pedirlos aun mas pequeños.

Amazing, comfortable shoes!
Elegant shoes that go incredibly well with a tuxedo. These are by far the most comfortable tuxedo shoes I've seen and tried. I'm so happy that they make these in wide sizes, which are generally hard to come by, especially in dress shoes. With very little effort, I was also able to remove the insoles to insert my own orthotics. Makes for a perfect shoe!!

Classic shoe, with the expected quality of Florsheim footwear
With formal wear I try to stick to the classics. I've had the same tux for over 30 years - it's never been in style or our of style. I wanted the same in my patent shoes: classic, elegant and ageless - hence the cap toe oxford. You can find cheaper shoes on line but given how long I'll likely have these (as I am unlikely to wear them more than a handful of times in a given year), I preferred to invest in something with a bit more quality of materials and craftsmanship. I think Floesheim shoes provides a good balance between quality and value. Sizing was as expected, which having a narrow foot meant that it was a bit loose at the heel for me, but nothing to worry about unless I get the urge to bust some serious moves on the dance floor.

Patent leather is good, slightly expensive for the type of sole being provided. Overall ok pair of shoes
