Best There Is !!
I had this whistle on my PWC jacket for years and it has held up phenomenally well in the salt water and air! Get several so you have spares and fro friends when they don't have them.

All my other whistled had some metal components that rusted. This is all llastic and perfect for water use

My husband and I are putting together emergency evacuation kits for all 5 members of our family, one for each of us and one for each of our three kids. Each person gets a whistle to signal that they are out of the house or that they cannot get out and they need help. We bought two different types of marine whistles to try, the JET LOGIC being one of them. We are looking for the loudest whistle requiring the least amount of effort and air. This whistle is it; it is the absolute bomb. With maximum effort it is the absolute loudest whistle I have ever heard. With minimal effort, as would be produced by a petrified child in a smokey environment, it still produces a reasonably loud shrill whistle that could easily be heard over the noise of a burning house every single time. We will be buying about 10 more of these to round out our emergency evacuation kits, to use with our hiking gear and to use with our boating gear. I just wish they were available with the option of a full size lanyard instead of the small lanyard clip.

Very loud
The first thing I noticed when holding the item was that the clip was fairly bulgy. I plan to use this as an emergency accessory on my life jacket when I go kayaking. As is, it's not feasible to just clip the whistle to your life jacket, the lanyard is just too short. I stood up and had the whistle between my lips and let the lanyard drop below my chin. It only reaches the "V" between my collar bone. So strapping this directly to your life jacket, as is, wouldn't be ideal if you need to use in in an emergency. I will probably have to add another 6-10" leash extension if I plan to clip this to a life jacket and have it readily available for use in an emergency. I tried to be fair in my rating, the item is still absolutely great, just the lanyard length needs to be worked out. Thus minus one star.

Solid reliable lanyard and whistle
This is a great lanyard! I have two of them and I use them all the time. In Texas, like many states, you need a sound producing device on your vessel. This whistle works reliably even when wet and produces a very loud whistle sound. The lanyard is very durable too. Most jet skis have a plastic key that is required for the PWC to run and the key is pulled out to kill the engine when the rider falls off. I have my keys on this lanyard and it has held up to being pulled a number of times. The clip has never broken but if it did the lanyard has a float! The other lanyard I use on my kayak life jacket. I found the length of the lanyard ideal for the jet ski but I tend to loop it a few times when I kayak because its a little long for that and gets tangled up. To recap its durable, floats, and whistle works great.

Works as intended
I got this to hook to my life jacket for kayaking. I like that it will float in the water if you fall overboard. I have tested it at home and it seems really loud. Thankfully, I haven't needed to use it on the water. The cord is a little short, but it can still reach my mouth from where I hooked it on my life jacket.

Nice and loud
I got this after too many scary instances of inexperienced boat drivers (I really wish licenses were required) heading right for me or friends and family after falling/ending a wake boarding run or even tubing fall. Just attach to life jacket where it won't fly up and hit you in the face but where you can still get to it without unclipping. It is very loud in my opinion, I don't have a decibel rating but I can't imagine a boat driver underway would not be able to hear this. This would also be great for a distress whistle onboard in case of emergency or to be able to signal others in case of breakdown.
