Size up

I would recommend sizing up 1 size. Was a little tight on my sons legs. At the time we was wearing 18 months. I think a 24 month would have fit better

Containment

I buy hundreds of these in all sizes and darling prints for the babies and toddlers who come to my swim program. If fit by weight we always know if they deliver “the eggs” quickly to get out of the water for “clean up”. In the last 10 years I have ordered over 6000!

Effective, but difficult to remove when dirty

I happen to have a child who poops numerous times a day, and does not seem to be aware of when he needs to poop or when he has pooped, and his poops aren't particularly firm. So good swim diapers has been a big deal for me. I double up. I ALWAYS recommend doubling up, if you don't want to be responsible for a pool getting shut down. So I have two things to say about this diaper. If you have a child who is highly prone to pooping in the pool and doesn't have particularly firm poops, I do recommend buying and using two, but have found this diaper to be satisfactorily effective. However, I just don't recommend this style. Because, if your child does poop in his swim diaper, there's just no easy way to get this diaper off without smearing poop all over your child and everything he's touching. It's VERY messy to clean it up. In the future, I always plan to buy the kind that open and close with Velcro, like a regular diaper. Or maybe using this as the second diaper that goes OVER the first one. Besides that, I bought two different brands of swim diaper in the same size. This one was much smaller than the other, so either that one runs large, or this one runs small.

A tight fit, but we're guessing that's necessary for it to do its duty...

We are new to the world of swim diapers--and for that matter, we're pretty new to the world of diapers in general. We're first-time parents as of about two years ago, and while the learning curve might be steep, it's also a ton of fun. Our nearly two year old son starts swimming "lessons" this week, which is really just a chance to get in a pool with a parent for fun. As much as he loves his bath, we're thinking he's going to really love a big pool. The idea of a swim diaper, we learned, is to be tight fitting enough to contain solid wastes, while being as comfortable as possible for the baby. In that respect, this swim diaper seems to do the trick. We were afraid, initially, that it was too small, but then realized it was supposed to be pretty tight fitting to do its duty. And really, once we got it on him, it didn't look too small after all. Note that the instructions say to handwash. We used the handwash feature on our washing machine, and it seems to be just fine.

Great quality but runs extremely small

5 starts for quality butn1 star for sizing. These swim diapers are great quality but run EXTREMELY small. I ordered an 18-24 month size for my 15 month old son (who runs true to size for his age - he is currently in 18 month clothes) and they were tiny, I mean so tiny that he MIGHT have been able to wear them as 6 month old. I returned all 3 and reordered a size 3T and they fit him perfectly. I realize these things are supposed to be snug to keep in the poop but the "runs small" concept is taken to a whole new level. Just size up 3 times your childs normal size and you'll be happy with these swim diapers. I'd recommend the company do a rewrite of thier size charts.

Poopy swim diapers suck! That's all there is to it.

Great swim diapers. I have two. Bought the XL for my 8 month old baby and it fit perfectly. He's 22 pounds and tall. Update: I have been using these swim diapers on both of my boys for years. My youngest is 2 and these diapers are probably about as good as you're going to find, but it is MESSY and a pain when they poop in them. I basically have to put my son inside the toilet and flush a few times and it's just not something that's a very pleasant experience. It's really gross to have to deal with a dirty swim diaper, not to mention extremely embarrassing! I've definitely had some leaks in these as well....not huge ones, but if you don't notice it right away, ugh!

Run small

These work as they are supposed to, keeping poop out of the pool. They do appear to run small. I know they need to be tight to keep everything in, but these were meant to replace my daughter’s current swim diaper that was 24 months (20-25 lbs) and these are a touch smaller than those. Just be aware, maybe order 1 size up.

Easy, effective, inexpensive.

I have ordered three of these in different sizes, they're great. Every time my son outgrew his, I'd order the next size up. They are easy to put on and off. They are comfortable for him. So far I've had sizes 6-12, 12-18 & 18-24. Admittedly, my son has never pooed in them so I can't vouch for how well they catch that, but they feel snug without being super tight so I do feel pretty confident it'd be contained if that happened. They are also thin enough to go well under a swimsuit.

Excelente producto aunque algo justo

Es un excelente traje de baño para mi bebé, pero las tallas a mi parecer si la sentí algo reducida. A mi niño de 1 año tuve que pedirle la talla de Xl que es para 2 a 3 años, los resortes no le cortaban la circulación, así que no estuvimos con el pendiente de que hubiera algún escape de un solido

Bueno pero muy pequeño, hay que pedir 2 tallas más grande

Las tallas vienen pequeñas, para mi bebé de 12 meses compré el de 18-24 y sólo lo pudo usar 2 veces por que le quedó muy justo, aún que una de esas veces se hizo popis en la alberca pero el pañalito contuvo super bien todo.
