they work reliably
I’ve felt these were overpriced before I settled on the zero water pitcher. So it’s been a little aggravating to see so little discount on the multipacks. Anyway, I got this for one purpose, low tds water for our expensive automatic espresso machine. City water runs on the hard side. The fridge filter does fine for ice making and drinking water but leaves over 100 ppm tds. The fridge filter is more for chemical removal than minerals, some minerals actually create a better tasting water, too many minerals are detrimental and can build up scale inside copper piping or similar metals like brass or bronze fitting or valves. For the coffee maker, low minerals means less apt to clog the boiler or small tubing and longer periods between descaling. The zero water does bring the water down to zero, no argument. In our case being only for the coffee maker, absolute zero is generally overkill and can actually leach out some metal from the contact parts, but we go through enough water that 0 does not last more than a few wks to maybe 6 wks give or take. However, the increase from single digits seems to slow down and it will last for several months before it hits around 70 or so when it then seems to accelerate so I normally change it around the 70 ppm level. Also, it seems over this level can result in leaching from the filter back into the water which results in bad tasting water. So for our use a 4 pack will last for a year or so. Considering 3rd party filters, our usage rate is not enough to justify risking performance for a few $ savings. If the cost was a significant difference or our usage rate was much faster, I’d try some. For now I’ll stick with zerowater. My only complaint is some of the zero water pitchers were received in the mail were not built or handled well, 2 with the spigot leaked in the fridge causing a mess, a replacement without the spigot arrived with a hairline crack along the bottom that also leaked in the fridge. Finally the 3rd replacement is a smaller pitcher but has no leaks, however where the filter threads onto the holder, the threads are barely formed deep enough to allow the filter tighten up. It’s pretty disappointing to be on our 4th pitcher just to get one halfway decent.

Dirty water = quick filter turnover.
The Zero Water accessories thst come with these are not great. However the filters work well.. I use a TDS meter to see if my filter needs replacement. I have a lot of Ca in my water so this beats junk flavored tea or coffee and scale on my kettles. I don't get a lot of gallons out on one of these, maybe ten or fifteen but it beats buying distilled water. Don't bet on using a TDS meter other than to tell when to change the filter as I have not found them to be accurate. I made a filter by cutting a hole from a plastic ice-cream tub that fits the screw threads on the end of the filter. A little food grade silicon and I can run water thru it. Wallah! Good tasting coffee. If these keep increasing in price though I will try something different. Maybe tear one of the used filters apart and o a refill. By the way, you can calibrate a TDS meter, sort of, by boiling a liter of water down to a teasponfull or smaller and weigh the result. A little math and parts per million just falls out.

Something Has Changed - Bad Batch or Overall Quality Problem?
I had been very happy with Zero Water filters for years, but the batch that I ordered recently was not up to the Zero Water standards. I replaced my existing Zero Water filter yesterday with one of the filters that arrived last month. The water went through the filter much more quickly than usual, so I tested it with the TDS meter, and the reading came back as "030". (For reference, one is supposed to change the filter when the TDS reads "006".) I emptied the water out of the pitcher and ran it back through the filter a second time. The TDS reading was still "025", not much of an improvement. I had similar problems with the 2nd filter that I received in my shipment. I wondered if Amazon sourced from a counterfeiter or if Zero Water's quality standards nosedived. I contacted ZeroWater and they are making it right for me by immediately sending me replacement filters. Very good customer service!

Work great, but filters are lasting much less time than they used too.
I have no complaints but how well the filters work, but they used to last me a full month before needing to be changed. Now they barely make it to three weeks. I have not changed my drinking habits. I still make the same amount of filtered water daily. This is what you call stealth inflation. They appear to have reduced the amount of D.I. resin in each cartridge to save money. At the same time the prices have only risen. I would much prefer they just raised the price and kept the same great quality as before. May have to make a change as this cost is really adding up.

Love how safe I feel drinking this water
Recently I lost my refrigerator that had a filter for water and ice. Researched because I wasn’t happy when I used Britta for years. Found that zero water was highly recommended, I have been very happy with quality of the water. The only issue I have is there are no clear instructions of how long the filters will last and when to change the filter? I will have to test the water periodically to figure out when to change the filter.

Works well!
Where I live has PFOS in the water. Poland Spring is very expensive. I don't want to install an under the sink system. Two friends recommended Zero Water. I can't be happier with the water! I notice the flow issue and did see many complains. If you understand the water pressure and flow, you would know the water flow is normal.

so good but so expensive that I find myself wondering how long I can go on buying these, sadly.
The water is so good. Because the water where I live bungs up the filter really quickly, I use a Brita filter and jug to pre-purify the water. This means that the zero water filters last about double the time, in my case this means about three and a half to four weeks in all. I am really struggling with the price.

Excellent and compact filter
After trying out various filters and methods, I purchased the zero water filter. It’s shape makes storage easy, the water filters through at reasonable speed and the tap is well positioned very low down so as to avoid water sitting for ages at the bottom. The replacement filters are a bit expensive but offset by the affordable cost of the unit. I recommend this product

Good water filter
I have been using Zero water for years, on and off. It's a good product. I like that it comes with a water tester. In my current location, tap water is of poor quality. That also means that my filters last only a month or 2 before I notice a change in taste. At that time, the meter measures only around 22 for total particle/impurity count yet my water already tastes sour. I'm a bit concerned about the ongoing price of Zero Water filters at my current location. It is now almost more cost effective to buy spring water.

Excellent Jug and Filters
Excellent jug and filters, the water tastes really good. Would not use any other filter or system. This is easy and lasts a long time. Thank you for your excellent service.
