Quality

These are better built and more durable that the cheap ones you may buy at the big box stores. A great strainer at a better price and worth the buy.

Sturdy, all metal universal drain basket

This all metal (except for a slim rubber gasket) is a big improvement over the cheap, plastic drain I had been using. It’s well made, heavy and sturdy. I did not expect it to fit perfectly into my GE garage disposal drain opening, but it fits well enough. Also included is a plastic stopper which does fit tight to enable the sink to be filled with water if needed. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

A sturdy stopper & fast flow basket

This is a very high quality basket strainer. A typical metal shaft in the center is attached by a screw to the bottom stopper. The stopper is very hefty; it is metal with an o-ring around the outside that makes to water stopper seal. We like to remove the stopper and set it aside for separate use on rare occasions. Since the basket has so many extra perforations, without the stopper attached it lets water flow freely just as fast as the drain can handle.

Strainer doesn't seat correctly in the drain.

Every time you pour something down the drain that has significant water over it the basket changes positions and will plug up the drain causing you to readjust the product. The piece in the middle is wobbly causing the base to move up and down plugging up the water flow. Very annoying.

Looks nice and works

The strainer fit my sink perfectly, mine won’t accommodate the ones with the metal stem on the bottom. It’s shiny and works well, should have replaced my old one a long time ago!

What I hoped for

I was delighted to find that it really was a working version of the old one it was replacing. My drain is not a very popular size, apparently, at 3.25" instead of 3.5".

Stopper Has a Steady Leak. Well Constructed Otherwise.

When the stopper is down, the water still leaks down the drain at what I would say is a medium rate. Not fast, but not a slow leak either. Functions as a stopper temporarily. I am keeping it because it seems to be the best I could do. I would not say that it works entirely. Construction is reasonably sturdy.
