Works perfect so far!
Don’t be lazy like me, I was lazy and didn’t rinse the media before doing a test run on a different tank than it’s going on. The carbon will turn your entire tanks water black lol but as long as you rinse it thoroughly it won’t do that! I just took the lazy route to test run it. At first didn’t understand how to attach the tube connector to the canister but I watched a quick YouTube video and figured it out. It took a minute to prime but it was easy to do so by pumping on the red “button” ontop. But so far, it’s running great, quiet, and no leaks! I’ll update my review if anything changes.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO PUT ON THE GASKET ????
So followed directions to a tee. Almost anyway. Went to press the red button to get the system flowing. Next thing you know I'm taking on water like the titanic. Toss the canister in my bucket. While the hoses were still running water out. Ironically i had my shop vac to make quick work out of the water! Then after looking back over at directions. After the second attempt. I notice this black band. This was the gasket to save me from further stress. Now things are going great ????. PS this was the first time using a canister ????????‍♂️????. All I wanted to was to eat some crackers and cheese and look at my work ????

No trouble
I can’t understand the bad reviews. I had zero problems. To prime it, just push the primer button until it siphons full and plug it in. What could be easier? As far as maintenance, it’s the same as every other can filter I’ve ever had. People have complained about leaks and bubbles, that’s from incorrect installation of the seals. The two small seals are extras for the valve block, the big one needs to be installed. All you have to do is slide it on carefully. No leaks! I bought this one for the price. I’ve had eheims, fluvals, etc. these are cheaper and do what’s needed. But don’t trust the suggested sizing. I put two 220’s on a sixty gallon breeder.

exactly what I needed!
Instructions weren't the best, but I did take the time to research other reviews before attempting to put this thing together. It's rather large in size. I guess erring on the side of being too big is better than too small. Besides, I had plenty of room to work with. There was one little oopsie with the first shipment as there was a defective part. But, customer service was right on it and I had a new filter the day after I sent the first one back. Kudos to the seller!

Easy and quiet
This thing seemed overkill when I was setting it up. Now it just seems perfect. Priming is supper important and messy. You fill it up most of the way then use a funnel to fill up one of the hoses held high in the air. Then put on the end, put in the tank, and turn it on. Let it get started then gently tilt it to get the trapped air out. One thing is that the gasket must stay clean prior to install and the shape of the gasket made me want to flaten it out but thats not nessessary. Just get it up on there without twist or pinch and it works great. I left my hoses long in case I want to move the pump. Be careful not to kink the hoses. Running hot water over the ends helps them push onto thier connections. The connections on the pump are gently snugged up by hand and then a fracton more with pliyers. Don't need to be supper tight. These nuts just keep the hose sealed onto the hose barbs.

Unbeatable for the price, but some things to note...
For $100 you'd have a hard time finding something better than these. Especially when you consider that the direct competitor to the C360, the Fluval 406, is THREE TIMES more expensive and doesn't hold as much volume of media as the Marineland. The flow rate of the Marineland is a little lower but not by much. I actually have two of these running on my 120 gallon mixed Malawi Cichlid tank and I ran custom PVC plumbing. I've been using them for a few weeks, here are my thoughts: Positives: 1. They hold a huge amount of media 2. Flow rate is strong 3. They are relatively quiet, though not as quiet as some canisters 4. The vinyl tube that is provided with them is very high quality stuff, imo much better than the ribbed hose that Fluval provides Negatives: 1. Although the vinyl tube they provide is very good, as noted above, the hard tubing that goes up over the top of the tank is not nearly as good. First of all it is very cheap, thin plastic. Second, they don't provide a good means of attaching it. All they provide is cheap suction cups which aren't strong enough to keep the tubes in place. Very annoying and the main reason why I changed it to PVC. The clamps with suction cups that Fluval provide are FAR superior. 2. They provide a large bag of their ceramic ring bio media, which is nice, but they also provide plastic bio-balls, which is not so nice. I assume they do this to save money but that stuff is terrible in canister filters. First of all, they float, so if you put them in the canister loose (they don't provide a bag for them), when you open the canister up to perform maintenance they will float to the top and some will get stuck in the down spout tube. They also don't have as much surface area as ceramic or pumice. Bio-balls are really made for wet/dry drip filters, not canisters. I removed all of the bio balls from my canisters and replaced them with a combination of Marinepure spheres, Fluval rings, and Seachem Matrix. So far they have been running good and I'm happy with them. The main reasons I bought them is because they were a good fit for where I needed to put them in my stand and, obviously, the price. Had the Fluval 406 been the same price I probably would have bought the Fluval, but at $300 it is ridiculously overpriced when compared to the Marineland.

Brand name and it shows!
I have purchased the Magnaflow canister filter after a great research! I replaced my two HOB filters on my 50 gallon African Chiclid tank. It is so quite I have to check it a couple of times to see if it is running! ???? My African Cichlids and live plants are very happy and the water is very clear! The initial setup was a breeze! Very satisfied with my purchased and it arrived in a couple of days from the seller! Hope this helps with your choice! Arnaldo ????????

Chonky boii but it’s a beast!!
Definitely worth the money!showed up early too! Even though I was puzzled to why the bags in the canister where already ripped and the canister clearly has water marks in it and was dirty with this silvery glitter…. Easy to clean but Was it used? Nonetheless I hooked up this canister with 3 pouches of “seachem purigen” and in less then 6 hours is was already seeing results! If you need a canister filter don’t hesitate to purchase! My tank setup is a 24x24x24 60-65gal and is technically over capacity.

Does the job but worst design
I had this canaster filter for a while now but stopped using after it started leaking at the latch area and didn't find out for few days and bit of damage to the flooring. when back to my hang back filter after months I tried again replaced the rubber seal it leaks after 20 minutes of use and cleaning this monster is a messy job and super heavy when it has water in it. its hasn't been an year yet but 3 years warranty good luck with the process haven't hardback from the number/website that Amazon recommends to call and email.

Defective unit and zero customer service.
The primer on my unit doesn't work and there's a large scratch on the inside of impeller housing. I found the scratch after paying out of pocket for a second replacment impeller that was noisier than the first one. Tried contacting customer support. Phone lines sit for hours and email inquiries get an error. Don't buy this unit.

Not very powerful
I think I can pee in a cup and fill it faster then this product. I thought it would pump a lot more water out then it does. I keep opening it thinking it’s clogged or something. Nope. I guess it’s just the way it runs. I should have spent the extra 100 bucks and got the better brand. Added 2 large sponge filters just in case it’s not doing much. :(.
