Size issue, but works!
A bit big wish it fitted my duvet better. All in all it is working pretty well and seems waterproof. Now I have put many of duvet covers on my duvet with the four standard ties and have never had a problem. This protective cover is really not sized well. I ordered and received a Queen and it just dose not fit well, it seems 3 and a half inches to long on the top and bottom. I had to sew new ties on my duvet to give it more structure, so there would not be random pockets of air and sliding (it did not work that well). The nights are really hot, If you have a thinner duvet this might be a great pick. If you have a thicker and warmer duvet this will not be for you especially if you sleep hot! It gets 3 stars only because of the size issue. The hot issue is expected because of the water proofing, so that was just more of a warning.

Works but it's WARM
Needed this due to a stressed out cat who peed on our bed twice in three days. Three things: 1. I wish there were strings to secure it to an actual duvet cover. Yes, this covers the actual duvet and has ties on the inside. But there should also be ties on the outside for a decorative cover. Without additional ties, you'll need to either buy additional clips or readjust it daily because it'll slip around. 2. It's HOT. We used it for three nights and my wife and I both got uncomfortably warm. I understand that's the nature of the product because it's waterproof but...whew. We'll be removing it and only using it when we have a house full of people again (stressed kitty). 3. Other reviews complain about it being "loud" or stiff and uncomfortable. I disagree. Granted, it's not the same as not having the waterproof cover on, but it's not like sleeping under a plastic tarp or anything. No issues with that. I'm sure it'd work to keep the duvet dry but we'll only be using it for stressful kitty times.

Works as intended, but not comfortable
I feel bad for giving this a bad review, because it works as intended. It keeps your feather bed completely waterproof, and safe from a pet accident. However, it’s just not some thing I want to have on my bed. It feels like I’m at a hospital or some thing. It is very uncomfortable and ruins, the whole aesthetic of my feather bed. And it also makes it very hot. I don’t know what the solution is for a waterproof cover, but it isn’t this.

Needs Exterior Ties
Works well; does add warmth since it's less breathable than cotton/linen but worth it to not wash a comforter whenever the dog has an accident. Biggest complaint/issue is that because it doesn't have exterior ties, when I put my normal duvet cover on, it and the comforter just slide around and you have to constantly reposition them.

Works, but not worth it.
I have a really expensive duvet insert. I have a puppy that isn't potty trained. I can wash the insert but just barely so it's not something I want to do every time the puppy pees in my bed. I put this cover on my insert and then sewed ribbon on the outside so I could put a pretty cover on top. I'm not sure if it's the double layer or the crappy new pretty cover (I bought it because I didn't want pee all over my expensive other cover) but they don't stay together at all. It's a fight every morning to get all the parts lined up so it looks nice and is ready for night. So just on it's own merit - It's noisy, and stiff but it does keep the pee off the insert so it works as designed. Until I got my expensive mattress protector, I thought all waterproof bed items were lie that, but the mattress cover is soft and quiet and you'd never know it was water proof. ** Expensive is subjective, the items I'm saying are expensive are out of my normal budget and they might not be expensive to you but they were definitely a splurge for me.

Not too heavy!
Fits the king bed perfectly! I have washed several time and it cleans and dries well. I do tie it into a duvet cover. Lays nicely. It is not heavy feeling, meaning, it doesn't feel like 50lbs on your body. It is very warm! I would not consider this comforter for the summer! Glad I bought it!

just awful.
This is the loudest material I’ve ever come into contact with, it’s like sleeping in a sleeping bag from hell. I saw the other reviews but was desperate cause my sons cat kept urinating on my $400 goose down duvet. She hasn’t tested it yet, but I’m sure it’s water proof because it feels like a flotation device. You can’t leave it zipped all the way otherwise it balloons up and it looks like you’re underneath a giant tarp that’s trying to swallow you. It has ties in it to keep your duvet/comforter from slipping around which I thought would be helpful because my duvet has loops on the corners for my own duvet cover, so I used them.. However, they do nothing. The inside of this thing I swear to god was greased or something cause even with the corners secured, it still turns into a giant ball of inflated balloon tarp by the middle of the night. Also, I thought maybe putting my own duvet cover OVER this sleeping bag from hell would help with the noise, but this cover doesn’t have strings on the *outside* to secure it to my own cover. I bought comforter clips that don’t work - so I’m off to review them next. I’m bummed, and my search continues. *note: if you don’t hold your bed to a high standard and consider it your happy place, you might be fine with this. It does what it’s supposed to do, it fits okay so long as you’re meticulous in your movements and don’t touch it once you have it situated (i have the boll & branch down duvet in the king/cal king size for reference), but in regards to comfort it’s completely useless and a menace to deal with.

Comforter bunches up and the material makes noise
I bought thus because I got a puppy and we are poddy training. It does protect but even though I tied it at the corners, my comforter still ends up moving all over the place inside. And the material is like vinyl so it makes a crunching noise and it's hot. Not a fan. I didn't return it but I'm definitly not using it.

Horrible!! Does NOT Breathe!
I so wanted this to work for me as a protection over a down duvet to protect it from dog accidents. This DOES NOT BREATHE at all!!!! I needed to change my sheets mid-way through the night as they were soaked from perspiration. This is like wrapping g a piece of rubber around you with no air movement. I write a negative view about 1 in 100++. I really don’t like to leave a negative review as perhaps my taste or expectation is different from others. However, I’m not sure how you could sleep comfortably under this duvet cover. I had it covered with a 100% cotton coverlet over top of this protector so it was 2 layers away from me (top sheet, cotton duvet cover, then protector.) Sadly disappointed as I finally put this on yesterday and my return window was yesterday so I can’t even return it. Double disappointment! I will need to continue my search for an appropriate product.

Makes noises that baby dislikes
I bought it to baby proof my comforter but baby does not like the sound of it when I move so cannot use it. It looks waterproof alright ( inside layer makes it waterproof)but the feel is not pleasant.

Like advertised
Size Queen what I received as I couldn’t chose while ordering … very big cover all my bed. Seem to be very good quality. It’s just that I am sweating little bit, I covered with a cover waterproof to avoid to clean it as cleaning will damage the form do I don’t know if the problem is related to the cover or this product. It still a good product

Hot, sweaty and suffocating
Just purchased this protector for a king size alpaca duvet and used for less than a week. It was terribly heavy to sleep with and does not breath at all. It was hard to even change positions while sleeping because it was so heavy, hot and sweaty and felt suffocating. I’m sure it would do a great job when it comes to being waterproof, but overall extremely uncomfortable to sleep with and unfortunately would not recommend.

Very waterproof
It is definitely waterproof and the surface is softer than expected. Cat pee stays on the surface and is easy to clean up. It's a little crinkly from the plastic, but not as noticeable as I thought it would be. It's a little warm to sleep under due to not being breathable, but it's a reasonable sacrifice for making it easy to clean up pet messes.
