It's what it says it is.
Solid core wire. 16 gauge, so thin enough to bend a bit, but not flimsy. Good for burying on dog fence lines or for a robot lawn mower. My mower "saw" it 1-3 inches deep all the way around the yard. I'm hoping this will prevent the robot from cutting it's own guide wire if it gets pushed out of the ground before I can rebury it. May update review later if it has any issues with being buried.

Perfect for the job.
I had to add on more boundary for my in ground Pet Safe pet fence for my dog. Same size as what came with my original in ground fence. Spliced it in today and works perfectly. Would recommend. I bought the 150' roll.

Great product
I needed to rewire my lawn and this was just what I needed. Very sturdy wire. Have a 1/4 acre and this covered the whole lot. Haven't had much issue with animals breaking the wire.

So much better quality than the wire that came with the PetSafe Boundary Fence
The original wire was so thin and flimsy, that it took me a lot longer than expected to get the boundary laid and buried. Working with the original delicate wire took so long that my dog got ahold of the wire and shredded it before I could get it finished. So, I got to order this replacement wire and I am so glad I got this durable wire. It did not take nearly as long to work with and is not dainty like the wire that came with my PetSafe Boundary Fence. I highly recommend to just replace the wire and get this for your install. You'll get it done so much quicker without all the hassle of easily snagged and broken lines.

The Old Lady Next Door Has A Ring Doorbell Now!!
My neighbor of 20+ years, who never used to complain about anything and was rarely home, has now purchased a ring doorbell. She also retired when Covid started, so now she's home all the time. You're probably thinking, 'what does this have to do with an in-ground dog system?' EVERYTHING!! Now she has nothing better to do with her time than notice when my dog crosses her property line. And on top of that, the ring doorbell sends her a notification on her phone every time my dog shows up on her front porch to sniff around the piles of crap she has so lovingly collected over the years. Then she forwards it to my phone!!! My daughter and I (and even my son's girlfriend pitched in to help) placed the wire all around my yard using a spade to break open the ground and a stick to push it in the crevice. It took us about 3-4 hours over the course of 3 days to cover about a 1/2 acre. It is very hot in NC during the summer, and we only worked a few minutes at a time. We could have done it in a day if it was wintertime. It was easy to splice it into the wire that came with the system. There are splicing instructions in the manual. NOW, I have stopped receiving picture texts of my dog next to a pile of used skids with straw dolls, broken flower pots and pieces of the last decade's BBQ grill on top!!!!! Thank you Petsafe Boundary Wire!

Solid core wire
Solid core wire so it doesn't break whenever it snags on shrubs when putting it out. Doesn't snarl up as bad when resetting it.

Keeps our dog in our 10 acres.
We bought enough to circle the perimeter of our 10 acres lot. It took 5 or 6 spools to do so. The first 2 spools we bought with the collar from the brand name supplier on amazon.ca here. I was worried that initially the ones from the original suppliers & this less expensive option was going to not be compatible. However it connected easily, ran along our perimeter just fine attached to barb wire & wooden fencing. It has helped keep our dog within our acreage and that is what we bought it to do. No compatibility issues. Just works excellent for less the price from the name brand suppliers. Unfortunately we lost a 9 month old pup to being hit by a vehicle, as she wasn’t a dog that would go on the road or chase cars.... but she was curious and wandered out without my spouse seeing and met her untimely end. Our hearts broke. But with this in place, our next pup hasnt had any issues leaving the property. We are extremely pleased with the product and would recommend.

Keeps puppy safe and out of the garden
Fence installed easily after renting a lawn edger to do the perimeter where the wire goes into the ground. Works very well, puppy was used to going into the garden to retrieve whatever compost he could, set the setting at 2 after first introduction with the setting of 1. Set him on his butt when he tried to run into the garden. Keeps him securely in the allowed yard area, safely away from the road.

Perfect fit for fixing our wireless fencing
Our underground wire got broken during the spring, this fall the dog figured out she was not contained anymore. After days of troubleshooting we proceeded to rip up the old wire and replace (Successful teamwork). Amazon was the only place we could get the wire. Everyone is happy and stress free again.

Excellent quality price ratio.
I bought this to extend my sportsdog fence. I used the whole length and it worked like a charm. You just have to like the yellow color.

Ideal
I didn’t think I need so I returned it now I have to buy a new set apparently they can’t find it I was supposed to be getting one from my in-laws that I didn’t need it turns out I do I’m sure it works perfectly it’s beautiful
