Keeps my Dry on the Oregon Coast!
I have worn this jacket extensively in heavy Oregon Coast rain and it does a fantastic job of keeping water on the outside. The fit and appearance are great and it stuffs down nicely for hiking. No problems with the zipper as have been common for me with other jackets. The left chest pocket is a great feature and all the pockets zip nicely. Highly recommended!

Disappointing
I’m 5 9 and 150, purchased a small and it fits well. I like the pit zips and the chest pocket. Seems to work fine in the rain but it isn’t as breathable as I would expect considering the Marmot name. I walk about 8 blocks to my office and this morning I was pretty sweaty upon arrival and it was only about 40 degrees . It wasn’t rain as the jacket does keep you dry but it should be more breathable. This will definitely not be a spring or summer rain jacket. Aside from the lack of breathability I absolutely despise the design of the neck and hood. If I need to zip it all the way up I feel like I’ve been placed in a neck brace and the material and Velcro rub against my neck which is annoying and uncomfortable. If I don’t zip it all the way up the hood just flies around and is also very troublesome. (Can someone please make a detachable hood again PLEASE) Again, this is in just a few blocks so I can’t imagine how uncomfortable this thing would be on a long hike. I’ll never know because I would NEVER wear this on a hike based on its performance for a short distance. Another problem with the hood is when it is on I lose quite a bit of peripheral vision which could be dangerous on a hike. Based on its poor breathability, terrible neck and hood design I give this jacket only 2 stars. At best this will be a winter rain jacket: I feel like I wasted a lot of money and that makes me much less likely to buy any other Marmot products. I used to buy a lot of their gear but my last few purchases including this one have placed them in the “not likely to buy from them again” category. Their quality has declined as has their product designs.

Keeps you dry but zippers are frustrating - poor design.
The jacket did it's primary job and stopped me from getting drenched in a downpour. Having used other jackets I expect a rain jacket to be operational by one handed use so that it can quickly be manipulated to protect or cool in changing weather. A large is a bit on the large size comparatively for other sport / active clothing I own. The medium was too small. I'm 6'1 and 200lbs The negatives (compared to other rain jackets I've owned, GoLite + NorthFace + off-brands) The velco on the sleeves is insufficient to close the cuffs tightly around my wrists unless I'm wearing gloves. - there should be more velcro around the cuff to attach the velcro hooks too... terribly frustrating and when doing activities in the rain I got water up the sleeves and soon after into my clothing under the jacket. The main mid-front zipper gets stuck on the flap often which makes one handed zip ups snag almost every time. I had to use my other hand to keep the flap out of the path of zipper while zipping. No button / vecro at the top of the front flap -- so you have to zip all the way to close the the top -- seems like a strange request, but after having other jackets with a button or velcro at the top it does make a different in keeping the zipper and flap aligned for one handed use. The elastic draw strings around the waist and sloppy and not designed well for ease of pulling to tighten -- you need both hands to manipulate them effectively. The pit zips -- same zipper issues -- they don't open and close smoothly -- so often I'm grabbing and tightening the fabric around the zipper to get the zipper to open or shut cleanly. Overall - it works for now, but I much preferred my GoLite (out of business) rain jacket -- but more thoughtful design/engineering.

Size L was a perfect fit
This is the exact jacket I was looking for to replace my 10+ year-old Nike ACG Storm-Fit rain jacket. It's lightweight, waterproof, breathable and has a little stretch to the fabric. I'm 6'2" 175lbs., and it fit me perfectly with just enough room for a fleece underneath. It has the ideal fit—not too loose where it looks like a gathered garbage bag and not too tight that it looks like I'm about to jump on a fixie for a quick trip to the closest third wave, free-trade-only coffee house. For my size I have longer arms, but the sleeves still had plenty of length to not ride up when extending my arms. The hood fits snuggly, but comfortably around my head and face when the jacket is fully zipped. There are only a couple of criticisms of the jacket I could find and they are nitpicky for sure. When you move, the fabric creates some noise. This is typical with this kind of material, but my previous Nike jacket was quieter. The other is the overall size of the opening when zipping the jacket up all the way with the hood on. The lower part of the jacket comes up high which creates an amplification chamber inside of the hood area when you talk (the sound waves of your voice bounce off the jacket and back into the hood). It's not uncomfortable, but just takes some getting used to. Overall, I'm super happy with the initial quality and fit.

PERFECT TECHWEAR STYLE JACKET!!!!
This is the perfect jacket/ shell if your looking for quality and affordable rain/winter gear. The Angel wing technology is also really nice. You can move around freely without feeling any stiffness. I also love this jacket cuz of its “techwear” aesthetic. Highly recommend to all techwear heads out there. I’m 5’ 10 average build and got the size medium. Fits perfect.

Over sized
I’m usually a size L. But this was too big. I’m 5’9”. 180lbs. Returned it.

Seems ok
Excellent rain jacket. It feels like it will keep me dry. My only cons is the zipper feels like it will either break or get stuck easily and the length is a bit short.

Bel imper léger.
Très bel article et très léger. Les coutures et les fermetures éclairs sont bien étanches, l’aération est bonne. Notez que la couleur est plus foncée que la photo à savoir framboise foncée.
