This is the BEST marking tape Measure
This is the Best marking tape Measure...if you are carpenter (wood or Metal) you will love this tape...it's only for marking and it will help to measure curves, it's no for measuring distances...

I only buy fastcap tapes, they are reasonably priced, accurate and durable. Never had one fail yet.

Accurate and easy to lock
I've had other tapes and they not only don't lay flat, the locking mechanism has always failed. This is brilliant. I'm from the US, and have recently learned the advantages of working in Metric. I have no idea why we still work in imperial. I also work with round objects, so this is perfect. The note pad on the side is a bonus. Great weight. Great quality. Wonderful to be able to read from both sides. Have nothing bad to say.

If you like metric tape get this one
One thing I should mention that you should be aware of. This is a FLEXIBLE measuring tape. That means if you it out it will not support its own weight for more than 100mm. This is good for measuring curved surfaces. The whole item is solidly built and for my purposes it does a great job.

This is the tape measure that sets the standard.
I love how this is flat. I love how this is all in metric. The superior form of measurement in my book. I love how the tape is flexible and rigid at the same time. Even the belt clip is quality. Now, if only we could get the US to go metric. Maybe this is how it's done. One measurement at a time.

This is not a metal tape measure a carpenter would use.
This tape is limp plastic. It is not a curved / rigid tape like most of all tape measures are. I suppose it is accurate enough but the hook on the end does not grip on anything because the tape itself is not rigid enough to keep it hooked. It just falls off. If I gave it three stars because it is what it is. I need to do a better job of reading the descriptions Schwerv

A bendy tape
When you want to use it's primary purpose it's great, it will curve round things nicely - but don't expect it to reach out in the way a normal metal tape will - it's not designed too! It does have one issue - which is not a major problem at all - - this is a metric tape but the tape body has a marked measurement of 3" .... doh!

Really well made tape: with limitations
This is a really nicely made tape. The steel tape itself is very legible, white with a well printed, sharply focussed scale on it. Fastcap tapes generally get really good reviews and I can understand why. They have a very interesting selection of tape printing types, that generally get strong reviews. There are a few aspects to this particular tape that you should be aware of before buying, most important first. The end hook on the tape is rivetted tightly in place. This is OK if you only want to take external measurements, but introduces an inaccuracy equal to the hook thickness when taking internal measurements (that's why the hook is designed to slide on tapes). I didn't see this advertised anywhere when researching this tape, and for me that's a deal breaker. Perhaps I missed this, but didn't see it on the tape packaging either. Second, the hook protrusion is a bit on the short side, so I found it often pinged off when measuring, which is annoying. This is essentially a specialist tool, suitable for measuring say external diameters of curved workpieces and to be fair it would probably be a decent measure for that. So you could argue that this review looks at it in a different context. Nevertheless, it's my context, and it doesn't work for that. I recommend you take a look at their range of tapes, which is quite interesting, they may fit your needs well and are a bit different from the average tape measure.

Wish I’d Had This Years Ago
This tape is flat so lacks the rigidity of a curved tape so is pretty useless for general measuring up. Where it scores is when accurate marking out is required on flat or curved surfaces. I use it for metalworking and in situations where a steel rule would normally be the instrument of choice. It removes the need for 600mm and 1000mm steel rules and is much more versatile. This cannot replace a curved tape but is instead a worthy addition to your measuring gear.

Really useful
Absolutely recommend this tape to anyone doing curve panelling. Very handy to have universal measuring from either direction too.
