Not too sharp
I was hoping the peeler would be as sharp as many of the reviewers suggested, however the Farberware peeler was just average in sharpness. I have an old peeler that works just as well even after years of use. Even still, it's comfortable to use and a good value.

Very sharp peeler
If you are looking for a very sharp peeler this is a peeler for you. It is so sharp that when I was washing it with a sponge it was slicing through it while I was trying to clean the blades. Definitely not to be kept anywhere children could get into because since it’s not a knife they might feel that it is safe to touch but it is not. I feel like I need to be extra careful when using it for fear of cutting myself with it. A cover for the blade would be a welcomed improvement for this peeler to make it safer to store and retrieve from the storing place. I never thought I would say that about a peeler because I don’t like using dull ones, but this peeler is a little too sharp for me. The blades are larger and more spaced apart than other peelers I’ve had. Despite being so large it doesn’t feel heavy duty because the head is jiggly. I understand it’s a swivel head but it feels more shaky than other swivel heads I’ve seen. The sharp point on the top is nice and great for taking out potato eyes and bad spots from fruit. The handle is sturdy, easy to grab, and comfortable to hold. All in all, I recommend this peeler because it performs exceptionally well due to its sharpness and the useful pointy end, but I advise caution during use and keeping it away from children.

Sharp but loud
This peeler has a nice grippy wide handle, and the blades are reasonably sharp. The eye-digger point could be sharper, but it works. The blade is attached to a post coming out of the handle, which provides the swivel. In addition to swivel, there is also some pitch and yaw, which doesn't particularly interfere with use, but which does make a lot of noise compared to my ceramic/plastic kyocera peeler. The post is also about five degrees off true. Not sure if that was intentional for ergonomic purposes. If so, it's not.

Decent and sharp but not my favorite
For years I've used an OXO brand vegetable peeler--the kind where you can replace the blade--and it's by far been my favorite ever. It's sharp (only replaced the blades once in over ten years), and it's easy to use. Unlike this peeler, the blade doesn't swivel, which I find makes it easier and more stable to use. That said, if your preference is for a peeler that swivels, you might like this one. It's relatively sturdy, and the blade is very sharp. The handle fits well in my hand. If I wasn't already enamored of the OXO peeler, I'd probably like this one fine.

Good vegetable peeler
It’s a good in expensive peeler. Like most you would get in the store. It’s not super sharp where you have to worry about taking off a fingertip. You can use the tip to scoop out blemishes. The head swivels just enough to make peeling easy, but not so much that you lose control. The handle is easy to hold but not particularly ergonomic. It’s good. Not amazing but hits all the basics.
