Long brush
This brush is long and perfect for basting food in the oven or on the BBQ as the handle is longer than the usual basting brushes. The silicone is heat resistant and doesn't get hot. It is dish washer safe so it is a breeze to wash off oil and fat. I use it as an everyday basting brush so I always keep it handy with my other kitchen utensils. Love this brush.

The basting partner you need :)
I mean, who doesn't need a handy dandy basting brush? whether you do a lot or a little in the cooking department, it is a must! I use my oven every day, one of my favorite things is to make meat really really tasty and juicy, so for that this little helper is a star... first of all the color combo of black and red is just gorgeous, the length of the handle is perfect and I find it easy to grab, yes it would be nice if it had a hanging hole, as some people would find it convenient, but for me it's perfectly fine as it is, because I like to sit it vertically with other spoons I use daily, or lay it down in a drawer, no biggy. The silicone material is so much more sanitary, easier to clean than other materials, and I love how the shape of this brush makes it so easy to baste and baste as much as needed, and it grabs the liquids or sauces very efficiently, also the high temps that it can withstand is wonderful. So, for yourself or a loved one, this basting silicone brush makes an ideal gift, that you and them will truly appreciate.

Great Basting Brush????????
This brush head is heat resistant to 450°F which is essential for grilling and barbecuing. The bristles are silicone and can take the heat and are shaped in sort of an S shape to hold the sauce, oil, or butter to aid in more efficient basting. One problem I have had with other basting brushes is that the bristles are too limp and floppy leading to spatters and dripping. This brush is firmer while not being stiff and seems to have solved that problem. Cleanup is easy since the brush is dishwasher safe and you don’t want to spend the evening coaxing garlic butter out of a brush if you have to hand wash. The bristles and head seem to be made from the same piece of material so there isn’t anywhere for sauce to hide making multiple washings necessary after each use, which I have had happen with other brushes. The only recommendations I have for Farberware involve the handle. When grilling and wearing a mitt this handle is a bit slender and smooth for a good grip. Also, a hole for hanging would be nice. With that said I still give this pretty red and black Farberware basting brush two thumbs up. ????????????????

Smart design holds lots of sauce but washes ompletely clean.
This silicone basting brush is a step above others I have used because the bristles have a unique shape that kind of "grabs" whatever sauce or oil or liquid you're basting with, so you can really spread it on the meat or veggies you're cooking. I also like the long handle because it lets you keep your hand away from the hot fire when you're basting foods on the grill. I love how heat-resistant silicone is. I have so many melted plastic utensils but have finally wised up and now know that silicone is the only way to go! Another great thing about this basting brush is that it is very sanitary. "Mop" style basters and paintbrush style basters just don't get all that clean, in my experiencem but these silicone bristles get nearly clean with a quick rinse, and get totally clean with a warm soapy water or a quick run through the dishwasher. Overall this is a very nice basting brush. I've used Farberware products for years and have come to trust this brand. This brush fits right in with their other quality cooking items. It works well and washes completely clean.

Long brush with flat bristles that hold a lot of sauce
This is a nice long basting brush. It's not the "mop" style you see some BBQ experts with. This has silicone bristles that are very heat resistant and easy to clean. Also the bristles on this brush are wide, flat and slightly concave so I find they hold a lot more sauce, butter or whatever. I have a similar brush with round bristles and they don't hold as much. Heat resistant to 450 degrees so you can use it in hot pans while food is cooking. It's also very good for things like applying thin layers of oil to flatbread before toasting, applying egg wash/butter to baked goods or just getting an even coat of BBQ sauce. Or even just for buttering toast, you can microwave some butter (or GARLIC butter) while the bread is toasting, then just spread it on with the brush! The long handle keeps your hands far enough from the cooking food so you don't have to worry about getting splattered with hot grease. Really useful in the kitchen.

This review is for the Farberware 5261924 Barbecue Silicone and Plastic Basting Brush, 1 EA, Red and Black. The Faberware Barbecue Silicone and Plastic basting Brush worked well to apply my barbeque sauce while I was BBQing chicken, it has a nice long handle so you can keep your hand away from the fire, and any flare ups, and the brush holds and applies nice evenly layers of sauce onto the meat, so you can coat them fast and efficiently. The Basting Brush is heat resistant to 450 degrees, so you do not have to worry about it becoming damaged during use, and it washes well, easily to wash them other brushes I have used in the past, overall decent basting brush, this is now my go-to basting brush.

Excellent quality and perfectly sized silicone basting brush
I love the long-handle design, functionality, and appearance of the Farberware Silicone and Plastic Barbecue Basting Brush. It looks great, has a quality build, and works great. The long handle and large silicone bristles make it perfect for your BBQ grill. But, it also works nicely for tasks like spreading oil around a frying pan, as shown in the attached photo. Plus, it holds a lot of sauce, melted butter, or oil in those bristles, which is nice. Finally, as others have mentioned, the brush is easy to clean. That's important because nobody wants dirty utensils in their kitchen drawers. Farberware is a quality brand name, and this Barbecue Basting Brush lives up to its excellent reputation. Five stars.
