Ive never seen my ball python drink water or soak, but I’m sure he loves this bowl ????
I’ve been slowly upgrading my juvenile ball python into his big boy enclosure, and it’s hard finding things that work well and won’t break my bank account even more ????. I always look up product dimensions before I buy anything, but for some reason even with the numbers in front of me I still have a hard time gauging how big it’ll be. It’s almost the same size as an iPad Pro, and I’m really glad it’s deep enough for my snake to take a dip if he’s into that. I really like how ExoTerra’s resin is nonporous like it states, I was using Flukers “nonporous” resin bowls and they definitely absorbed stains that I couldn’t scrub out. This is pretty hefty and dense, so I don’t need to worry about it getting bulldozed and falling over. It’s so hard finding products for growing/adult snakes, and under $20 is SUCH a steal!

It’s awesome!!!
It is safe to say my snake loved her new bowl! Its quite heavy which is amazing so she can’t knock it over!! The only thing thats “wrong” would be the color, it does not look the same color as the picture. But i personally don’t care as long as she enjoys it.

Came chipped
This dish came shipped in just a plastic envelope- no packaging whatsoever. Honestly I’m surprised there isn’t more damage. I’m going to use silicone to smooth over the chipped parts just to make sure my python wont scrape or cut himself. Annoyed but I need the dish at this point and can only assume a future order will show up the same way.

Good value for money, great quality, ideal for tortoises
Quick delivery and arrived well packed. I was attracted to this reptile water dish because of the good price - I bought mine for just under £11 including shipping - and positive reviews. I needed a larger dish for my tortoise to also sit in to bathe, but due to the irregular shape* it's a little tight for that, so it remains solely a drinking dish (but if she wishes to dip her toes who am I to stop her?) Tip: The dish I've buried part-way in the wood chippings to enable her easier access to the water inside. I'm impressed with the good quality of the Hagen Exo Terra X-Large Water Dish. It has a nice weight (just over 2kg) and looks like natural rock. With certain creatures, such as tortoises that love to 'weight-train' with stones and whatever else they can get their paws / claws on! it's necessary to have a water dish that doesn't tip over. 5/5 stars *a proper roundish / squarish shape without the sloping walls at the same dimensions is obviously larger.

I intend to use the dish as an extra birdbath.... It has a step feature one end ...so I have put stones middle and other end And half filled with water .... It’s sitting on an old chimney pot.off the ground under my feeding tree.... Blue and coal tits investigating at moment!

Happy snake
Bought it after I saw my 6 month old corn snake painstakingly drape each inch of her body through the medium dish to try and have a bath. Took her at least an hour, and she used to swim when she was a baby so I got her a bigger bowl. It’s deep enough and wide enough for her to be able to swim around and bathe as she pleases, and it’ll last a long time too.
