Surprisingly comfortable.
The cushion feels hard to my hands but sitting on it for hours is very comfortable. I have two different thicknesses for raising chair heights to make getting up easier. I agree with other people's assessments on how comfortable these are for extended use.

great cushion for senior
I order 3 inch one for my mom who has long term back pain, the cushion is mild firm level, which can made her back relax and feel much better. We did try other brands which was cheaper, but when she sit down it was way too soft, and cushion will fall all the way done and no tension at all. My mom loves this cushion although a bit pricy.

so not exactly the "intended" use of a medical rehab cushion but i needed a foam insert that was stiff enough to use in a motorsports setting while being a bit more comfortable than the 1" thick insert that came with the racing seat and this works perfect

Gotta know what you're looking for...
This "cushion" is perfect for me. I bought the 3 inch version. I need to be able to get up from a chair without a group participation event. Tore both my quadracep tendons...I don't get up easy. This "cushion" gives quite a bit but feels sturdy which makes it perfect for getting up from a chair easily. If you're looking for cozy comfort this "cushion" is the Quaker of cushions..look elsewhere...if you're looking for an assist to get up from sitting this dog hunts. I'm ordering a couple more. To have upstairs, downstairs, and in my vehicle if I go somewhere and have to sit down. Gravity helps with that down part it's the getting up part where this cushion helps. The black covering is good quality. This being black makes it less attention grabbing in public to carry...big guy needing help out of a chair...that's attention grabbing. This is a good value, I recommend.

Was nice for a bit.
Went flat pretty quick. It was ok for a bit. Ended up getting a purple type one, which while not as soft, doesn't loose the shape.

Required if in Cruiser III
I was crippled in a car accident. I was getting sores from sitting in chair all day. Cruiser III, got this and now I can sit all day. Its easy to wash the cover and fits nicely with arms down. If ya need it ya need it.
