Simply the Best
Far sturdier than other jack stands. More expensive, but certainly well worth the price. Have used them routinely for seven years, and can tell that they are made to last. I would not trust getting under a car on other jack stands.

Works Perfectly
60 dollars compared to 400 dollars for a platform to do back and lats. Works perfectly, but I need to find a slotted rubber pad, which will keep the bar straight and not roll.

They are nice jack stand but wish the base was wider to stay sturdier.
I like the reversible bar that goes in the middle but the base of these could be wider to provide stability. The can easily tip over if they are not positioned just right. So depending on what you are using these for just be aware you might need ones with a larger leg spacing to prevent an incident of them being knocked over.

Sturdy and safe
First the pictures show the difference between the 10498 (13.2”-21.5”) and 10499 (11”-17”) The price is high for a single stand but hold 3 tons and the pin I feel is more secure than the regular ratchet model that sell those capacity by pair. I don’t use them yet because I wanted to know which model could work for my car (Honda crv) that is why I have both now The clearance I have between the ground and the point jack is 10” , my floor Jack has a 15” maximum high , since the lowest setting for the 98 is 14” minimum with the pad ( without the pad is 13”) I only have 1” clearance to place the jack under the car so in the beginning I thought could be too big for my car so I did order the 99 model but I think I will stick with the 98 . What I don’t like of the stand is when you go to a higher setting the post will move and feels unsafe (I’m sure it is but personally don’t like that) so is something that some people should keep on mind Someone here in Amazon has a video about that The rubber pads to replace are expensive ($24 each plus shipping) and some reviews say they brake after few uses , so I bought a pair of tick pads in Amazon for $12 , got at Menards 2 rubber stoppers and contact cement The complaints some people have is the paint, scratches on delivery or welding I got both open item to save money and one came scratched but no a big deal for me , maybe they are going to frame it , place it next of trophies in the living room or maybe have carpet in the garage , but I am using to change oil and tire rotation or emergency on the road and they will scratch with car and floor and placing them in the car or garage. I think they are expensive but you can’t put price to your life with something that feels sturdy and safe I have been with a craftsman stand for 15 years with little rust but still has lots of life. I’m sure this stands will last decades for oil change and emergency on the road .

5 star jack stands, 3 star price.
First and foremost: order these separately, one at a time if you are able. So far I've purchased 3. I need 4 for my 340i and girlfriends Jetta. If you order them in pairs they will arrive looking pretty jacked up, no pun intended. Packaging for a single is bad enough. All 3 boxes I've received so far have been banged up with parts of the stand penetrating the cardboard. No damage to the stands though, which is why it's important to only order one at a time. The paint coating is fine, but nothing special. I am considering spraying these with plasti dip or rust-oleum to give them a layer a protection. I'm convinced they will last for life as long as rust and corrosion stays away. The welds are not great, but they're more than enough to keep the jack stand from falling apart. The rubber caps are a nice touch, but I don't see them lasting long. Hockey pucks do fit perfectly in the recessed circle at the top of the stand which is why these are so desirable. My main issue is the price. One of these costs as much as a pair of stands that will safely get the job done. It's not like these are made in the USA and they certainly aren't made with crazy attention to detail. One stand is not worth $55 which seems to be what the price always is. Price history shows that the price does not deviate from $55. These are worth $35 a piece. $35 would be a very fair asking price and means you can get 4 for $140 which I would be fine with. Instead I'm spending $220 for 4 of them, which is how much my jack cost. This is the only jack stand available with this design, which is unfortunate as it is the safest and also most functional for the types of cars we will be putting on them. It's unfortunate that they cost so much, but I justify it by hoping they will last for life and give me the peace of mind of safety while underneath a vehicle. Still, it would be nice to receive some sort of bulk discount from having to buy 4. I will update this review as I use them.

Best value insurance you can buy
In 2021, the average cost of car insurance is over $100 per month and the average cost of health insurance is nearly $500 per month, and we all know those costs will continue to rise. These jack stands can be purchased for a little over $50 per stand...a one time fixed cost that will never need to be repeated in your lifetime if you store the stands properly. When viewed as not only a tool but also as insurance, these are incredibly good value for the protection they provide. Having used other cheap jack stands, including some that were recalled and could have killed me, these ESCO jack stands immediately impressed me with their heft, their stability, and the safety features. I also appreciate the height these can safely achieve and make doing work under a vehicle much easier. I do work on BMW and MINI, and these work great with the jacking points on those vehicles. I always push on the vehicles from multiple angles after getting them on jack stands to make certain they are stable, and with these ESCO stands, they are rock solid. I've read some reviews that knock the welds. The welds are certainly not artistic, but the welds are functionally solid. My experience with their customer service was also top tier. They were prompt, polite, and went above and beyond. I am very pleased with the ESCO 10498 jack stands.

Solid jack stands -
I find myself doing regular maintenance on our cars and trucks. Too many times the dealer or garage took shortcuts that cost me money because the work was not done properly. So reluctantly I find myself under cars and pickups. The initial set of jack stands that I purchased were very traditional and cost effective. They were rated for about 3 tons and could raise the car about 18 inches. I thought they were pretty good. The flip up handle made setting the height easy; maybe too easy. One day while it was holding up a boat trailer it just suddenly let go, dropping all the way down. There was no serious consequences, but it scared the h**l out of of me. If the same thing had happened with a car, it could have resulted in serious injury or even a fatal accident. I really don't know what caused the jack stand to release. I was not able to reproduce, but it did spook me enough to do my research into jack stands. The result was finding the ESCO stands. They are not cheap, but they are really solid and safe. And, there is no way they can release on their own. These stands are an investment into your personal security. They make working under a car or pickup stress free. I will not use anything else now. And I will not let me friends crawl under cars with traditional jack stands.

Expensive but really good jack stand
When we got our pickup I wanted something a little sturdier then your cheapo 3ton axle stands. I also wanted something you can place under the frame of the truck which the axle stands aren't great for. This is really the only option on the market, which might explain it's price, unless something else has popped up since. It is definitely expensive but it's well made and very sturdy, I feel much safer under the truck with these holding it up and it's perfect for placing under the frame. I've seen a lot of people complain that their jack came crooked but everything on mine seems straight. My only real complain is that the welds are a touch amateur hour, they look solid enough but at this price I would expect better.

Buy 4 right from the start.
These jack stands are rock solid! No wobbles what so ever. I use them on my car and my truck. Take the rubber pads off to use adapters for pinch welds or euro jack points. The rubber pads work great with pinch welds as well. The only negatives are the price and the fact that they don't come in pairs. The quality of these far out weigh those two negatives and they still get 5 stars. In 2021 I picked up a couple more stands and they were just as good as the ones I purchase 2 years earlier.

Best jack stands for BMW and Mini
Hands down the best option for BMW and Mini's. They are stronger than most stands out there and has much more height adjustability as well You don't need to buy and use the puck adaptors with this stand. But you can if you want.

Great Quality
One of the best jack stand made. The flat top saddle design is very suited to new vehicles that required slotted jack pads to fit over the underside rails of the car.
