It is a triangular bandana, thought I ordered one with terrycloth sweatband, but I received one with a thin area of moisture expanding beads. I liked the price and decided to give it a try and it is surprisingly comfortable because of the thin material. There are no bulky thick seams to get pressed into my head while wearing under my motorcycle helmet. I was initially irritated with the misleading description. DESCRIPTION NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO ACCURATELY REFLECT THE PRODUCT. Seller, are you able to read this?

Problem for me was, I am in truck with no water, it doesn't stay wet more than 1.5 hours in hot weather ????️ 90+

Not sure what to think...

This is essentially a regular bandana cut into two triangles (and hemmed, nicely), with an enclosed 'pocket' of what feels like gel powder in an approximately 1 x 8 inch 'band' along the forehead portion of the bandana. There is relatively little of anything special. I may just use regular bandana's from the craft store, soak them in ice water, and let that evaporate... evaporation is the mechanism, along with whatever 'gel' is in the sewn in pocket. I have severe heat intolerance, and have been looking for something to help when I have to leave home and am subject to the thermostats of stores and MD offices. Not sure this is it. But, I haven't activated it yet, so who knows... I'll edit later when I do use this. I've already shaved my head to eliminate heat from hair... I hope this bandana thing helps when I'm away from home. It took quite a while to receive this- estimated delivery was January 24th at the latest; I contacted the seller on January 29th, and they sent this out the next day- arriving on Feb. 4th. They did respond to my e-mail; not sure why there was a delay in shipping to start with.

DON'T PUT IT IN A WASHER!

I see NOW some statements to HAND WASH! That was a little late for me. Now I see why it has to be hand washed. The band is not made to be washed in a washer. That will RUIN IT! They should put that in each package in large print with WARNING! & stapled to the Doo RAG. I buy so many of these Doo Rags things - I thought I knew it all. I did not know this one. The price was real cheap, so not great loss. Who knew one HAS to read directions for a Doo Rag? Oh well!

Oh my goodness, this is amazing. My husband works in removals in Spain, at the moment it is 42 degrees, he has just phoned me to tell me how fantastic this bandanna is and that he wants some more, all the team now want one! It has a gel like rim, that chills and as you tie it to your head, it doesnot fall off like a hat, also your head can breath.When it dries he runs it under the cold tap or into a nearby swimming pool..and on it goes again..We have run out of stars to give this product..it is a 10/10 for us..Thank you.

Cool head band/scarf

Once you have got the excess water out of the cloth the spongy band is quite efficient, it dries very slowly without feeling wet and keeps your forehead cool for a long time... depending on the temperature. Suffice it to say that it dries a lot more slowly that the rest of the scarf.

Seems to do as expected.

I've got a black Staffy cross who gets really hot in the summer so thought I'd try this on her to try cool her down a bit (to tie round neck not head). Not had the weather yet to test it but when I tried it out it did seem to stay cool so hope it works for my dog.

This works really well - I wear it when running on hot days and it makes a huge difference. It stays cool for most of the day and exceeded expectations.
