Epicurean doesn't disappoint

I have Epicurean cutting boards and LOVE them, but I didn't realize the company also made utensils. I love this spoon! Feels great to hold and use, washes easily (claims to be dishwasher safe, but the dishwasher dries out the spoon) and works very well. I also bought Epicurean butter to help keep the boards and spoon in great shape.

THIS SPOON PERFORMS EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED

I had been warned about the wooden sauce spoon often enough to get the message understood. This spoon is exactly the cooking toy to do the job. It works well and I will add to the set. It has not been damaged by high heat and cleans easily. I do wash it and then place in dishwasher for sanitizing but I have not cleaned it in this way more than three times since purchase so I can only say it has held up well so far. AMAZON has been very good about getting items I have bought thru them to me in a timely manner.

Good quality spoon

Good slotted spoon. The material will last for years. The only thing that bothers me is price point of their products now. Yep years ago I bought the Turner for nine Canadian dollars and now I had to pay twenty three Canadian dollars for one spoon. Unbelievable. Is it made of gold tree? I really needed a spoon tought and wanted to complete the set I already have so I guess had to pay the price.

Material not suitable for complicated shapes

I love Epicurean boards but the paperstone material they use is no good for making complicated shapes. I own a flat paddle, a slotted spoon and a silicone scraper from this line, while the other utensils have been working well I can't say the same about the slotted spoon. After a year or so of use the layers started separating from the bowl part of the spoon and cracks started appearing at the tip, not very happy.
