Don't pay for it painted

The color will not be right. Just get it plain and spray paint it yourself. Made that mistake But otherwise love it!!!

Highly recommend. Light weight.

2nd time that I have bought this product. light weight. I use Rub n" Buff metallic finish to add highlights to the carvings and reliefs. So easy. looks so so good

Gorgeous

This medallion is nicer than I imagined. It’s lightweight, but quite sturdy. It looks like expensive plaster but was a fraction of the cost of plaster. It arrived primed and ready for paint. The crystal chandelier I bought has some silver on it so I painted the medallion white, then used a wash of dark gray on it that I wiped back and only left in crevices, then highlighted with silver gilt. I can’t wait to hang it. I will submit more pics after it is hung with the chandelier. Other reviewers state that the escutcheon of their light can hold it up without glue or nails, so that is how I plan to Install it. * I added a photo of it mounted with the chandelier. Absolutely stunning. I did not glue it to the ceiling, the escutcheon is holding it in place.

Very Good Material & Quality

Purchased this medallion to compliment a new dining room chandelier. Came primed and packaged well in a reasonable amount of time. I really like the solid urethane material that Ekena used to create this medallion. It is light weight but sturdy. Very easy and fun to paint. I painted it with a good quality semi gloss paint and then accentuated the raised decorative parts with Modern Masters Pearlescent paint. I will be buying more Ekena pieces in the future to decorate my home.

Very Nice - Looks like Plaster

Great Detail Can not be distinguished from a cast plaster medallion Solid, stable, easy to mount Don't cheap out on your beautiful light fixture with one of those cheap plastic rings from Home Depot One Tip - This ring will add depth to the distance to your electrical box if it is flush with the ceiling. Purchase some 8-32 by about 2.5 Inches long, pan head screws to mount your light fixture bracket to. Purchase some 8-32 nuts as well and run them up to the back side of your fixture bracket to help stabilize it. Worked well for me.

they are light weight but sturdy, if they weren't they would have cracked when ...

they were lovely. i bought them for an unconventional use but the object i was going to put them on didn' give the correct dimensions so they didn't fit. i kept them because i decided i will put them on my wall as wall decor. they are light weight but sturdy, if they weren't they would have cracked when i tried to take them off of the object i tried to fit them onto. if i do ever get that chandelier i will use them for that too. they are really pretty.

Looks as expected - it's off white so if you are not painting it - it will look cream NOT white on your ceiling.
