Long-lasting five-star quality and comfort
My wife bought these shoes about 20 years ago, plus or minus a year or two. Not sure if these are the "same exact" model of shoes; I searched on Amazon and these seemed to be the closest match, but I had to submit a review because they turned out so great! (That's why it's not showing this review as a "Verified Purchase"; we bought these elsewhere, in another state before we moved here in 2004) My wife and I both have been buying Ecco shoes (my wife these, and similar style sneaker and other type lace-ups; and for me, I buy their sandals, which are the greatest also BTW) for many years. These are basically my wife's "daily walkers". She loves them for their comfort, and has even bought them as gifts, including for her mother who used to have foot problems and be on her feet a lot. My wife's particularly favorite feature has been their light-weight, on top of how comfortable they are. From the first picture you can see how the tops look "good-as-new". Still soft; not cracked in any way. And I only put shoe polish on them maybe every four to five years or so. So why did I include the second picture that shows the soles having come apart? Well, they just failed suddenly and simultaneously a couple of days ago after having been worn for 20 years. I think that is absolutely commendable! I don't know of any other shoes that are this soft, this lightweight and this comfortable that have lasted this long. 20 years of service for these wonderful shoes is worth at least five stars and receives the highest recommendation!
