Per lampade a incandescenza, magnetiche a bassa tensione (MLV), elettroniche a bassa tensione (ELV), fluorescenti, fluorescenti compatte, LED e motori fino a 1/6 HP. Include luce notturna selezionabile e dimmerabile.

False motion detection, lights will not turn off
Ignoring other reviews about false motion detection I decided to try this model since it has a manual on override feature that is hard to find and thought the problem must be fixed by now! This unit replaced a motion sensor in our garage that worked great except for the lack of being able to override the timeout while working in the area. I am comfortable with wiring so the wiring diagram was clear and easy to accomplish. Once power was restored the lights turned on after detecting motion, I thought great, then noticed they would not turn off. Setting the timer to 'test' caused the lights to cycle on and off every few seconds, but again stayed on constantly after setting the timeout back to 5 minutes, apparently from the false motion detection re-triggering the timeout timer. I even tried to cover the motion window and still no change. Thinking this must have just been a bad unit I ordered a replacement and sure enough this one had the same problem. Frustrated I finally reinstalled my original motion sensor (Leviton IPS06) and everything worked great except for the original lack of a manual on override. Since this is in a 3-way switch arrangement with the load at the motion switch and a toggle switch across room from each other, I realized it was easy to install at the motion switch a jumper from the traveler wire to the load and bypass the motion sensor forcing the lights to say on. Although this is not the most ideal since the toggle switch is no longer a second location to turn the lights on and off from, but in my garage this isn't a problem. Installing the jumper wire now gives me, at least functionally, what I wanted in the first place. I can't say that this solution will work with all motion sensors due to differences in their internal components and design but it did for me.

This device gets a star for the fact that it ...
This device gets a star for the fact that it does detect movement, but it is plagued by false detections and failures to turn off. Often, I come down in the morning to find it switched on where there has been no motion in the previous 7 hours. The location i have it in is perhaps challenging for a sensor. It is in a pantry, so a small room, and the cabinets have under cabinet lights. The sensor is pointing into the room, so as to detect someone coming into the pantry, but someone not walking past the doorway So, the sensor is pointing towards the under cabinet lights, which could create problems. However, I have a Leviton ODS15-IDI in a very similar situation and that works perfectly. In the end, I tired of the Eaton sensor not doing its job and turning the lights on for long periods, and I replaced it with another Leviton sensor. I can report the Leviton again works perfectly. It’s a little more expensive, but I can be hopeful that I will save in the long run on the extra electrical costs incurred with the Eaton sensor.

Do not buy new old stock units! Check date code!
I bought this from Amazon because they had the best price. Little did I know that the seller was selling NOS which according to cooper wiring devices is from a batch of DEFECTIVE units with corrupt firmware and inferior components. After being frustrated at installing it and not having it function correctly at all (I’m a union electrician for more than 40 years) and I subsequently returned it to cooper for a replacement which is when I found out about the bad batch of occupancy sensors they produced. Check sticker on outside of unit and if date is older than 3 months return it or you may have to go through same issues as I did. I will say the new replacement unit is functioning perfectly and has not exhibited any problems so far. I gave one star to get attention of those who actually read the one star reviews first, but the replacement unit gets 5 stars.....

Great motion Sensor!
Great motion sensor, works well in closets and bathrooms. My only knock would be that the timer is 5sec, 5min, 15min, or 20min. Some shorter intervals would be nice but keeping the setting at 5sec works well for us when we're in the closet. The light never goes off as the sensor is very responsive. Lastly, most will want to follow the first diagram if you're using this to replace a switch. It took me a second to figure out what setup I have.

Failed after 3 weeks on nominal load.
Worked great for three weeks. I twas nice to enter the garage with a handful and have the lights turn on automatically. Supposed to handle loads up to 1000 watts. I had a load of 300 watts on the system and it failed. The switch doesn't turn off. I got online to try to return it but since I didnt install it immediately and it has been 2 months now I cannot return it. So I am going to try to work with the manufacturer to get the device returned.

Died after 6 months
The sensor worked fine for 6 months, then it no longer turned off automatically. I spoke with the company and they require that I send in the switch before they will send me a new one. That is not practical, so I am looking for another product.

Works as expected
Excellent range and that is what I wanted. It is running 6 fluorescent fixtures and the three way works as expected. Interestingly it was a ivory color in a sealed light almond package. But it in a workroom anyway.

Two Stars
you need a third wire for it to work, therefore won't work on most, especially older, switches
