Really like them. Look nice with pants. Tad tight, but leather will stretch. Clog-like sole. Great for walking.

Nice pair of shoes. They fit well, for my usual size 9 wide. The sole is a little odd, almost like a clog with the toes tipped up slightly, but when you actually start walking in them, this just pulls you forward and gives you a boost to your pace. They are much more comfortable when walking than when standing still. I'm a stander at my office, so the uplifted toes were a bit weird, but my feet were fine after a whole day, only a little bit affected by the 'new shoe' ache. I would recommend wearing some thicker socks than normal, as I did, because the back of the shoe does swoop in towards the Achilles, and without this being broken in, that leather is stiff. For anyone worried about these being too tight, just remember, leather will soften and stretch over time. It's a good thing they start off just a smidge tight. After a few months, they'll be absolutely perfect, whereas if they weren't tight at all, they'd be sliding all over the place. This seems to have the same type of sole as the other Eastland shoes I have, which tends to split after a year of wear. Still, I'm stuck on the Eastland shoes because they're nice looking and comfortable, great for lots of standing and walking. One last thing, these seemed a bit odd looking when I took them out of the box, wide at the toe and narrow at the heel, but when I wore them with pants, they looked great. They seem designed to wear with something that would cover up the ankle of the shoe. Overall, I really like the shoes.

My favorite shoes!

When my puppy chewed the heel out of one of my Eastland shoes, I needed a replacement pair quickly. I got these shipped and delivered to me right on time and I love wearing them.

Well Made

These shoes are beautifully made and hopefully will last a couple of years. The dark brown color that I bought is gorgeous and difficult to find. Very happy with my purchase.

cuts foot back top of shoe

At first, I LOVED these shoes. I would have rated them very differently then. The stretchy black part meant less breaking in, unlike other Eastlands. I have worn Eastland shoes for YEARS. And I continue to buy them because the last so long. The breaking in time always is difficult but worth it. I love that once they are broken in, I can just slip them on with no hands, but they aren't slipping when I walk. After wearing them (they are as broken in as they are going to get; 7 months) they almost cut my heal at the top of the back of the shoe-every time I wear them. I have to space out when I wear them so the ouchy part doesn't dig in to deep. Overall, I recommend Eastlands; knowing they are not going to feel good when I get them. But I don't think I would buy these again. I paid $22.31. I would not pay the typical $50ish or more for these!

Pleading. Comfort

I ordered these in hope that they would provide comfort while on my feet in the office. I received them shortly after lunch and was amazed at how comfortable the shoe I tried in felt. I immediately replaced the shoes I wore to work with these Eastlabds for the remainder of the day. Felt like I was wearing sneakers. I’ve bern off work for an hour now, as I write this, and they are still just as comfortable. Very nice looking shoe, as well. I have s Barrie foot and wear a size 10: I purchased a 10 medium.

Perfect fit and comfortable

These shoes are very comfortable right out of the box. They can go with jeans or casual slacks. I like the extra support and the fact that there is a little bit of rubber protection on the toe and heal. The sole is rubber and thicker with good traction for winter but great to wear all year. After a couple of years I purchased another pair when the first pair began to wear out.

good construction, scuffs easily

This is a well-constructed shoe with a good non-slip sole. It does scuff easily but it accommodates my wider foot. The top of the heel by the ankle digs into my ankle a bit and hopefully that will wear in. If you have wide (D or E) these shoes are comfortable to stand/walk in for hours. I am a solid 9.5W/E and order the 10. It fits fine.

Supportive shoe

A little tight to get on - but just because the Upper comes so far up the foot - not a lot of give or stretch. You might need a shoe horn. But then the top of heel rubs a little too much - very odd. There is plenty of support on either side - which is great for pronators. So far so good. I did not buy them because they were beautiful or pretty - they aren't.
