Amazing container garden, questionable packaging?
I have several earth box and other similar brand container boxes and I use earthbox for imdoor gardening. I consider this to be the brand name for this type of product. Earth box is so simple to set up and be successful no matter your skill set! I always have great harvest, and because my soil uses organics 100%. I can reuse the soil without even having to till it, time after time. If you want to use it as a no till solution, make sure to start with an organic mix using, no chemical nutrients and definitely add some red wigglers (worms) to keep the biology healthy. I make sure to feed my worms mostly by chopping up any leafs that I trim and just putting them on top of the soil. My most recent order for earth box was received just a few days ago and unfortunately, the fertilizer bags had been opened and completely spilled out. For the price and quality of the product, I would really suggest you look at your packaging. This is why I deducted a star.

Incredible bounty
I bought 2 Earth Box kits for this season's container garden, which I keep on an upper porch. The full kit included the box with grid and water pipe, 2 plastic covers, dolomite and fertilizer, and 4 casters. It's extremely easy to put together and the directions are very well written, with large, clear pictures. After box assembly, you need to add the 2 L of potting soil (this is 1 large bag easily found at any garden center), put in the dolomite and fertilizer as directed, and put the mulch cover on top. It took a little while because I was trying not to spill soil on my porch... but once filled it was ready for plants. At first I was tempted to put more plants into each box than recommended because 2 tomato plants (or 6 pepper plants) did not seem like enough. Resist this temptation and follow the directions!! These plants will grow huge and produce more bounty than you can imagine. It is truly unbelievable the number of cherry tomatoes I am getting from just one plant; every day I harvest about 25 - 30 tomatoes and this has been going on for about 10 days. The peppers are equally impressive. Each plant has grown to about 4 feet tall and is filled with huge, beautiful peppers. Because I was initially doubtful that these boxes could live up to the hype, I planted several of the same variety plants in individual containers like I usually do. There is no comparison; the Earth Box plants are easily 4 times the size of the others and have produced 10 times the vegetables! The growing process is so simple and effective I can't imagine going back to the usual containers. A word to the wise, however... When the plants get so huge they do require quite a lot of water. Through the hottest days I have had to replenish water every day. However, if you keep a hose nearby, the process is a snap. Just put the hose into the top of the little watering tube and let it run until you see a little water running out of the overflow drain near the bottom. I highly recommend the Earth Box and plan to buy another for next year's vegetable garden.

Should have disclosed casters won't be sent until later
I love Earthboxes and already have two of them. Given the current supply chain uncertainty resulting from the pandemic, I wanted to plant another one with salad greens. I ordered it on Amazon. Then, knowing that it was to be delivered yesterday, I went out the previous day and bought all the plants and soil I'd need to plant it with. The Earthbox arrived on time, but missing its casters. There was a note in the box that read, "Our Apologies. Due to COVID-19 supply chain difficulties, your EarthBox Garden Kit does NOT include casters. We apologize for this inconenience and expect to have more coasters in stock by mid-July 2020." It gave a URL to visit to sign up to receive "free" casters after they are stocked in mid-July. I understand that there are supply chain issues, but EarthBox should have been up-front about this in the Amazon listing. If I plant the box now, it will be too heavy to pick up and try to add casters to six weeks from now. So now I have an Earthbox that is useless until the casters arrive, and plants with nowhere to plant them. I haven't decided yet whether to return the Earthbox, because that's a hassle too in the current climate. Just frustrating.

A breeze to set-up
First time using an EARTHBOX. Amazingly easy to set up - took just a few minutes. Some reviews mentioned castor-wheels falling off. It is not enough to just place the spokes of the castor-wheels into the holes. You have to turn the box upside-down and push the castors in firmly till they click into place - I have been lifting the boxes and moving them around and the castor-wheels have not fallen off. In my hot and humid tropical isle, mosquitoes are a BIG issue. To prevent them breeding in the reservoir, I cut a piece of carbon filter from leftovers after replacing the filter in my cookerhood, and place it over the drainage hole ON THE INSIDE of the Earthbox, before putting in the screen. I flipped the box over and checked - the filter fits snugly over the hole. After filling the box with potting mix, and planting the seedlings, I filled the reservoir and checked that the water overflow was not impeded by the carbon filter. I also fashioned a cover for the watering tube to prevent the mosquitoes going into the reservoir that way. Now I wait to see if my corn will grow - will update later. UPDATE: Soaked corn kernels for about one day, and sow them directly into prepared EARTHBOX, put on the mulch cover as directed - 13 of the 16 seeds germinated in less than two days! wow! Now, after less than 4 days, the seedlings are already about 10 inches tall, and look really strong and healthy. The EARTHBOX reservoir is keeping the potting mix nice and moist. I am so happy with this that I have already ordered three more EARTBOXes, and planning what plants to grow in them! ^^

Great Purchase
I have been looking for a garden planter for several months and, when I discovered the EarthBox, I was sure that it would be perfect. And it was - I cannot wait till spring when I do my planting. The planter is a great size and the castors allow easy movement. I bought a second one with the stand and it too is fabulous. As I grow older (now 72), mobility is more and more of a concern and these boxes are great. I also like the self- watering aspect as that allows more regulated water supply for the plants. All in all another great purchase.

Fantastic!
Everybody should own one of these if you have a sunny spot in a yard or a apartment balcony. I use them in a greenhouse and they work really well and grow tons of vegetables. So far egg plant, tomatoes and peppers. Easy for those new to gardening to use, read the instructions and follow them and you will be very successful. I have bought four more recently. Highly recommend.

Love it!!
When reading everything about them. It only says on how to put the plant and where to cut. Didn’t say anything about seeds. So my daughter and I did seeds and are cucumbers are doing great. This is are first year and we have 3 earth boxes and we will be buying more!!

Good for deck gardening
We grew ginormous and productive tomato plants in these on out deck. Nice system, but next year we’ll have to restock soil and fertilizer. I’m wondering how the plastic body will hold up over time, but for now it looks to be reasonably insensitive to UV exposure. Make sure the water filling pipe is easily accessible!

Got it for 50 dollars and cant complain. It's on wheels and very good kit for the money. Would recommend for anything. I'm using it for a medium sized strawberry patch and I know once it sprouts this product will be more then good
