Fun for a half hour, then broke!

The Night Vapor was great fun to fly on a calm night. Very responsive, easy to fly, the lights look great at night. But…the Velcro does not hold the battery securely. It kept falling out and dangling from the plane. I kept putting it back in, pressing harder on the Velcro. After about 30 minutes of flight time, the dangling battery broke the white wire connecting the battery to the circuit board. Lights went out, and the plane crashed! I had to push my wheelchair, in the dark, out into the yard to find the plane. It was fun for a half hour, now it is broken!

Great indoor flyer!

Our local flying club has access to the high school gymnasium on Saturday nights. This little plane was sensational It flew nice and steady as we flew in between the larger 3D aircraft doing stunts. It is so light that, if you get near any of the air vents, the plane would shudder in the slight air current created by the ducts. It was so easy, I was able to hand the transmitter to an inexperienced flyer and he was flying around the gym without a problem. The battery holder tray was a little loose and allowed the battery to drop free during flight; changed the center of gravity in mid-flight. A small length of rubber band now secures the battery. The plane is so light that I have my doubts on whether it is a good idea to ever fly it outdoors. Maybe...just not sure.... Great for my indoor needs though!

just get rtf for 20 bucks more, the transmitter makes things simple, the remote is 100 bucks

buy lots of aftermarket 250mah bbatteries, nice long flight times,,,, i dont love the linear servo set up but this thing is so delicate but it has to be to fly in my bedroom. way relaxing slow flights with nice leds and rudder is controlled by ailerion channel so its a bit odd at first that it dose not have roll control with main wing airlerons but not capeable given how its built. fly in very little wind, as its litteraly only as heavy as a lighter....if that. im using the rtf transmitter from my nano blade s3 heli, and it flys bboth without rebindings...i also have a dx6i but to use safe and led light color change features though is hard with other transmitters but not impossible. just nice to keep it with the plane in the original box just to keep it safe....cough on it and it will take off lol

Ever since I sold my first night vapor, things have been weird

My first Night Vapor (v1) was an impulse buy and I ended up flying it more than any other model. I would send it up high into the night sky and glide it down. Sometimes a light breeze at high altitude would make the return trip a little scary. I thought I'd never see it again more than a few times. Minutes later it was on the dining room table, undamaged, chillin. A couple of weeks ago I was in a hobby shop, and they had this new version. I hate RTF but the price was right. It turns out the controller it comes with has flight pack voltage telemetry! No more timers. It's not a bad controller and the range is superb. You might want to put some dark tape over the LED when flying at night. My brother used my Amazon account to order one for himself, and that's why I'm leaving this review here after buying it from the hobby shop.

It's ok, not sure I would get it again.

The first one I got didn't fly right. When I would switch between safe and high rates it would go out of trim and bank left. If I disconnected the battery the flight controls would recenter and it would work fine until I switched between safe and high rate and then it would happen all over again, it would start banking left, sometimes I couldn't recover. I flew it for maybe two total minutes and then I returned it. The second one works as advertised it's just not that fun. Obviously you can't fly it in any wind. It's not acrobatic. It is kind of fun to hover it around in high angle of attack with SAFE on. It is flyable without using SAFE but it doesn't fly well. This should be kind of obvious being a stick with no real airfoil but it wasn't something I thought about. I fly it in the back yard for something to do on windless evenings but it isn't very interesting. Maybe it's just me... Definitely not a starter plane due to durability unless you had a simulator or help.

It flies, but watch the weight.

I haven't flown an R/C plane since 1989, but I managed to fly this little thing a few times without breaking it. I bought a 200 MAH battery for it, and used it for its first flights. It seemed heavy and needed lots of throttle to fly level. This got it going faster than I'd like in my small yard and I hit a tree one time. The landing gear popped out on one side but was undamaged. If you're out of practice, use the safe mode and a 70 MAH battery, and take it to an open area. It will be fun re-learning how to fly. I gave it 4 stars because it is terribly fragile. Priced a tad high. also. edit: the 200 mah battery I used affected the performance, with the included battery or better still, a 70 mah battery, it flies very well. Their are repair parts available, so I raise the rating to 5 stars. Not for rank beginners, but an extremely fun plane.

Can’t buy reasonably priced spare parts.

For a training plane, spare parts should be easy to come buy. First day, after 15min of usage the propeller/motor mount broke after a hard landing . Can’t find a replacement. Websites lure you in only to tell you it is not available after trying to buy it. Think before you buy.

Fliegt, aber wie.

Trotz Bindung an meine Spektrum Fernsteuerung, was sehr schnell und einfach funktioniert hat, habe ich bis heute keinen einzigen ordentlichen Flug hinbekommen. Das obwohl ich kein Anfänger bin! Trotz voll geladener Akkus fängt das Modell schon beim Start an zu pumpen, was Nix mit dem Schwerpunkt zu tun hat.

In jeder hinsicht spitze !

Was soll ich sagen ,ob in kleinsten Raeumen , oder , bei wenig Wind im Freien , der Vogel macht immer Spass zu fliegen , wobei die Fernsteuerung auch Anteil hat. Und Graslandugen steckt er auch locker weg. Super das Teil
