Super cute! Not the comfiest to hold

I’ve been using this for several months now and always get compliments on it! The design is really fun and all the colors made it easy to match a collar and leash to it. It’s held up to a hyper pittie puppy who tries to play with his leash when he gets too excited so it’s definitely sturdy. The only drawback is that while the handle has extra padding, so it’s nice to hold, if you have to hold further down the leash to control your dog the leash edges bite into your hand a bit. I’ve compensated for this by tying a knot in it further down and using that as my hand-hold, but if you have a hyper pup this may not be for you!

Perfect length & great durability for chewers!

This is not only beautiful for art lovers, but the perfect length for training and very sturdy & durable for chewers/puppys! Worth every penny! Highly recommend!

Actually not great hardware. Very stout

Edited to say: although the hardware seemed great at first sight, it's problematic. The clip often slips open while you're walking your dog along. I really wanted it to be great. But the clip continually opening and releasing my dog in urban areas with cars was too dangerous. I put this leash away and went back to one with a standard clip. This leash is a bit longer than the norm, which I looooove. We live in a hilly area, so when my pup runs up and down hills, it gives just a bit more leeway to not be pulled off my feet. Great hardware. Very stout. And the aesthetic is awesome--why I bought it in the first place.

My daughter is an artist and I enjoy supporting companies that have a connection to art. I have purchased from the DutchDog company on several occasions. I purchased the Sunflowers and Irises collar and leashes. The quality of the materials is excellent. They are sturdy and wear extremely well. After more than a year of heavy use, there has been no fraying at the edges. The clasp on the collar is as easy to open and stays as securely attached as the first day I received it. To clean, I simply throw in the washer and dryer. I highly recommend this item.

March 2014 Review UPDATE: Excellent company

Dec 9, 2013:Clip comes undone when there is very little tension--not a good quality even though my pitbull is cute. Very pretty leash, though. UPDATE March 30, 2014. The company owner emailed me right away and they insisted on making it right. They wanted a picture of the clip so they could be sure which one it was and asked for my feedback for their next clip order. They replaced the leash and though it is the same clip, it seems better. At any rate, the company was a pleasure to deal with and I would buy from them again in a heartbeat.

Loved it

This was a great little leash and it matched perfectly with her collar. I didn’t get to use it but twice because she passed on shortly after receiving it and I won’t reuse collars or leashes. But it worked prefer and looks so beautiful in her remembrance box.
