Not enough arch support for me. Need better shoelaces.

I kept the shoes after trying them. They fit well and look nice. I have weird feet so I need more arch support than the included insert provided. I'm using Dr. Scholl's inserts now. The included shoelaces will not stay tied, so I'm planning on replacing them.

Noticeable change, still a true fit, but got a pair with a flaw

I've worn this particular model of shoes since 2016, which I ordered through New Balance's website. That particular pair has served me well, but with the sole of the shoes starting to wear thin (specifically around the two largest toes), it was time to get another pair. For the record, I bought a brown pair and a black pair at the same time, so this review covers the black pair (8500BK). The pair of 8500BK that I got showed that Dunham has made some changes to the Midland Oxford in just about two years. The newer version seems to be a bit more compact, but fits the foot just about the same (as can be seen in the picture accompanying this review). I also noticed that the Rollbar fiberglass stability shank is referred to as the 'R-bar' now on the newer version. That's interesting. That said, this particular pair has an issue. Part of the leather from the eyelets section where it meets the vamp has a little bit too much leather material that ends up irritating the bone socket for my pinky toes. This especially was noticeable for my right foot, which made it difficult to walk after I was at work when the pain started. That's when I noticed the defect with them, something that isn't present with the brown pair I got, nor the pair from 2016. Some sloppy work with the cuts to the pieces of shoe leather can cause quite some discomfort. I've asked for a replacement pair to be sent by Amazon and will be returning this pair soon afterwards. I had to knock it down from 4 stars to 3 stars due to this.

So happy with these!!!!

I have had these for about a month now and they have been amazing!!! At first I was not very happy because I had done my usual bought the shoes and some Spenco inserts to go in them and when they showed I put the inserts in and immediately regretted it. My feet hurt so badly so I decided to take them out and put the stock ones in and my feet quit hurting and have worn them since with zero pain or fatigue. I have never had a pair of Dunhams before I have been wearing New Balance 608's for 20 years till New Balance changed them a couple of years ago and made them terrible for me. I am now a huge believer in Dunhams and will buy a 2nd pair of these here soon. By the way I know they are owned by NB and hopefully they do not screw them up.

Not as advertised

Quick (5 days prior to due date) and safe delivery through Canada Post. However, the order took 1 month to be fulfilled. The shoes arrived from far away. Had I know this , I would have cancelled my order. I am a big Dunham fan. Dunham shoes are of excellent quality, great fit, and everlasting. Unfortunately, since the company was bought by Rockport, the quality of Dunham shoes keeps going down the hill. Even the quality of the "old" Dunham shoes (Midland and co) has also suffered. This Midland is not the one I ordered. This is plain leather. I wanted to have the nubuck one. Plus, it appears that the shoes were pre-owned. There are two scratches on the left shoe. And the sole does not seem quite solid. Sorry, but I have to return this pair.

No longer the same quailty

Overall the quality has been changed. I've literally worn these for years--now they are just falling apart and causing knee pain. No longer recommended.

Solid shoe - so far

When on sale, this shoe seems like a good deal. Have used Dunham in the past and knew it was quality - despite being taken over recently, the overall quality seems decent. A solid, heavy shoe with good cushioning. I would describe the interior as 'boxy' so if you narrow feet, then probably not the best style for you. Overall though, I have been pleased with this (at the sale price)

problème de qualité / garantie

Comme j'ai un pied difficile a chaussé, ça doit faire 25 ans que j'achète des chaussures Dunham (New Balance). Dès la réception j'ai vu que le fini de la chaussure avait changé. Je ne les ai pas porté immédiatement. Je viens de commencer à les mettre et 4 jours plus tard tout arrache en les attachant. J'en ai qui ont 2 ans et toujours aussi solide. Amazon me dit qu'on ne peux rien faire car j'ai dépassé mon délais de retour. Je ne demande pas un retour, je demande une garantie. Si Dunham est rendu avec cette qualité de produit, ce n'est pas drôle... Service Amazon plus que discutable dans ces cas ci. Toujours en attente d'un retour de leur part car l'employé s'est débarrassé de ma requête. À Suivre... maj du 26 sept: Finalement Amazon ne m'a jamais recontacté, malgré une note dans le courriel du 9 septembre qui m'assurait que j'aurais un retour. J'ai dû rappelé aujourd'hui et parlé avec OUMAN et il me dit que Amazon ne fera rien. La garantie n'est pas valide car je les ai porté. Essayez de voir si une chaussure a un défaut en les regardant sur une tablette sans les porter… n'importe quoi… Amazon n'est même pas en mesure de me diriger vers le constructeur. On me dit de faire mes recherches moi même… Bref une expérience d'achat des plus décevante, un service à la clientèle discutable (on me dit que je dois parler anglais pour faire une requête à un superviseur) Amazon nous donne 30 jours pour un retour et meme eu ne respecte pas leur délais de retour malgré des engagements courriel et par téléphone… On vend mais on n'assure pas de suivi sur la qualité et garantie du produit.
