These are great but FL sun tears them up.

I really like these duck covets this I'd my second one. Unfortunately the FL sun is brutal on them. I figured for the price replacing them ever couple years is still worth it.

This is my third cover and overall has lasted 2 years. No idea if that is the standard for this products.

Very happy with this product

I have a 30" fire pit and ended up ordering this 50" cover because I couldn't tell from the product description and reviews whether the 30" one would reach all the way to the ground. Ordinarily I'd have started with the 30" one, but heavy rains were in the forecast and I didn't want to take any chances. As it turns out, the 50" cover is too large for my pit. Even so, it's working beautifully. And I love the color. I wasn't sure how the beige would look. Was initially looking at black covers but something about this one caught my attention and I'm so glad it did. It really is lovely. Very subtle and soft. I've now had this cover for awhile and can say it has kept the fire pit dry through some very significant downpour. And it still looks brand new. The tabs on the bottom keep it very secure. So that even though this one is literally 20 inches wider than I need, the cover does not blow off in heavy winds. In fact, I like it so much, I'm planning to order the 30" one which will definitely fit my fire pit. And this larger one will be a nicer cover for my woodpile than the blue tarp I'm currently using. My only con about this product is the online description. Which is the reason I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars. It would be great if the product dimensions were articulated very clearly --- leaving no doubt as to whether it will fit over the dome cover and also drop down to the ground. Perhaps I was missing something when I read it, but I could not get an accurate sense of the dimensions and was concerned, based on several reviews, that the 30" cover would actually be too small for my 30" pit.

Excellant customer service!

I bought this to go with a set of four Duck Covers Ultimate Patio Chair Covers that I purchased at the same time - which were very heavy duty and excellent. The Fire Pit Cover is made of entirely different material and not even close to the same quality and thickness. Disappointed that the material, thickness and quality is so much worse than the Ultimate Patio Chair Covers UPDATE - 2/11/2017: The customer service offered by Duck Covers was excellent! I sent them an email in response to their comment, and received an immediate response offering a replacement UPGRADED Duck Cover Grill cover that matches my previous purchases. I could not aks for a better response or outcome - as the quality of my Duck Cover patio chairs is excellent. Bases upon this, I would raise my ratings to a "5".

Well, only time will tell, ... but so far so good! The fabric was a bit "lighter" than I expected (I expected a material like a canvas) but haven't had any issues with it so far! Don't ask why, but my Lab likes to jump onto the fire pit and so far the cover has also held up to his claws and his jumping on and off!! I haven't had the cover through the summer yet, so I will (if allowed) return here in October/November of '18 and update my post!

Survived the Sonoran desert, did not survive the Sonoran desert bunnies.

We bought this cover a little less than two years ago and it has held up in the Sonoran desert. It covers the firepit well and stays there. The harsh sun, heat, wind and sand hasn’t deteriorated or noticeably faded the cover. However, over the summer, I guess the rabbits were so hungry they ate the bottom of cover. So - 5 stars from hungry bunnies I guess but knock off a star from me, because now I am finding myself buying another cover after less than two years.

A little disappointed in Duck Cover

I purchased this for my firepit a few years ago and we very pleased with it. It just started absorbing water and my firepit has been getting wet. So, I ordered another one expecting the same quality. It beads water like the other one, so I have no problem. But the finishing on the seams is very sub-standard and uneven. Since it still does the job, I will not send it back. But, I was very disappointed on the appearance.

Looks like it won't degrade with time and temperature changes

Ordered on Sunday, arrived on Monday. Stupefyingly fast delivery. The product is exactly as advertized. It nicely fit my beautiful Amazon made Strathwood firepit, and because of it's neutral and natural color, blended in well with my patio and backyard flora. Just to see how water proof it was, I stuck my finger in a glass of water and let it drip onto the covering and just as sure the product name implies, it slid right off. Must be some kind of microfiber fabric. I hope the fabric can withstand all the temperature and season fluctuations of Virginia, but from what I can tell, this is not a material that will get brittle -- like the plastic weather cracked stuff that covers my Weber bbq grill.
