It may not be the hooks' fault, but they weren't the solution
In fairness to this item I've upgrade my review significantly because I was attempting to use these hooks to attach light-blocking liners to Ikea curtains but the "hardware" Ikea included was plastic, WAY too small & flimsy & there were basically no instructions on how they were supposed to work. After trying to make them stay on from laying down on my bed to lifting them back up to be hung by the curtain rod, they would not stay connected for anything! Super frustrating & a huge waste of time. We gave up that day & I ordered these from Amazon, largely due to price & favorable ratings. When I received these we tried a couple different configurations, i.e. hooking hooks into liners first, then the curtain & vice versa, neither of which worked any better than the cheap plastic Ikea junk. I hate giving anything butv5-star reviews but am doing so soley in case you too are trying to wrangle Ikea curtains & liners or a similar setup with the bands of ribbon at the top with different holes for different heights, etc These appeared to be exactly what was needed, decent quality & as described, they just didn't solve the problem & we ended up using 30 safety pins vs any hooks in the end. I am fairly certain there was no "trick" involved in connecting the panels & getting them to stay up reliably, or at the very least, until we got them hung back up & could reattach a COUPLE that had come loose, not 3/4 of them. I also watched several videos in hopes they might make this the easy task the Ikea salesperson inferred, but neither videos starting IKEA's own yellow & grey striped-uniform-wearing employees demystified this process, nor did any of the other YouTube videos. I'd say don't waste your time if your in a similar 'tangle,' just use safety pins or sew them on with a series of intermittent stitches. I hope I've saved at least ONE person from the negative experience with S-hooks & attaching liners / darkness blinds to existing curtains. Otherwise I'd suggest reading others' reviews very critically & make sure they were successful using these for a project just like yours. Ultimately, my curtains are now hung & they do block out light - or more importantly HEAT - so that's positive at least.

Estos hooks las compré en Noviembre/2021 a $4.99 y ahora en Julio/2022 están en $9.99… El doble! Por otra parte, el producto es altamente recomendable ya que cumple a la perfección con su trabajo.

Professional curtains
The media could not be loaded. If you want the hotel looks of curtains, buy this hooks. Its time consuming to hook in curtains’ pockets to make pleats. This was used with Ikea curtains.

There are a number of different pleater hooks available with subtle differences, none of which are explained in the youtube tutorials. Some have the hook halfway up the pin, and some at the top. If you want the curtain to come very close to the top of the window opening, so that none of the rod is visible, you have to be very careful to place the pleater tape at just the right distance from the top of the curtain. I wish someone had explained that, so I would not have had to order 2 different kinds of hooks from 2 different companies and do my own experimenting.

Great solution for pinch pleat curtains
These hooks are great for do it yourself pinch pleat curtains. I've used ikea curtains that already have the pleating tape sewn in, which makes it super easy to use and hang. Will buy again and highly recommend. Used in combination with french curtain rods (curve around the side) with Ikea curtains.

They work fine
The pleater hooks worked fine to pleat my drapes, however a few of them were broken when I opened the package and a few broke when I tried to use them. I would still recomment them as they are hard to find and work well and since I bought four packages I had plenty to complete the project even with a few unuseable ones. Just make sure to order 3-inch pleater tape. I could only find 3.5 inch pleater tape on Amazon and it was too wide for these hooks. I had to cut off 1/2 inch of the tape which meant a little extra work on my part, but the finished drapes look fabulous.

These curtain hooks work great when you use pleating tape inside a sheer curtain.

Good value, nice curtain.
Bought two panels for a large living room window with a traverse rod. Worked nicely, but you definitely need a steamer for these curtain panels. Quite wrinkly from shipping. They steam beautifully, though and hang well.
