Size down, fit perfect!
I sized down like other reviews said. I’m normally an 8, I got a 7. The souls are SO DREAMY. Cute, comfortable, minimal break in period. Buy them!!!

COMFORTABLE!
I LOVE THEM! I’ve had these for almost two years & I wear them all year long! I’ve received countless compliments on them! If you’re “thinking” about buying them, STOP! Buy them NOW!

Doc sandals
These were beautiful shoes , but rubbed my ankle way too much . It would be a disaster in the making . I ordered my usual size and it seemed accurate but they did slide in the back. Had to return for the doc slides with no back .

Sandal has very high instep
I wanted to like this sandal, but there's a huge gap between my foot and the two straps closest to my ankle - my instep. So my foot moves around, even though the length & width of the sandal seem like a "true" size 9.

Order ONE SIZE SMALLER than usual; requires break-in; blisters
QUALITY: I have loved Dr. Martens for 30+ years and was excited to find out about their sandal line. I was hesitant to purchase the real leather option, as I know from experience that they usually need to break-in (which means suffering from blisters for a while) and this pair met those expectations. However, as any woman knows, style often outweighs pain & suffering. I have never gotten more compliments on sandals in my life! They are aesthetically pleasing and are as heavy as my ankle boot dr. martens. I'm pretty sure I could injure someone if I hit them with these sandals...haha. Hopefully they will break-in soon...ankle blisters and toe blisters not fun. A trick though if you haven't tried this, is using Band-Aids or moleskin in the spots the shoe rubs. SIZING: I have purchased MANY MANY shoes in my 40 years, and several pairs of Dr. Martens. I wear a size 7 and in some rare instances a 7.5. My ankles are narrow but I always purchase regular width shoes. I was SHOCKED to purchase the 7 and find that they were huge. My first thought was to get a half size down but they only come in full sizes so I skeptically bought a size 6. They fit PERFECTLY and I would say are still even a tiny bit big. Again, shocking as I have other pairs of Dr. Marten boots in size 7. SHIPPING: I wasn't impressed with how long this seller took to ship. For unknown reasons, they waited a week after placing the order to ship. This was annoying because the first pair I bought was the wrong size. Both times the shipment took a week. If you are unsure of your size and can afford it (temporarily until you get a refund) I would order two pairs due to how long it takes to ship (unless you don't mind the wait).

WIDE FEET WARNING ⚠️
These sandals are great. Exactly the style I was looking for. However, I want to give a warning to my fellow humans with wide feet. These shoes are not as wide as people make them seem. I consistently wear a 9.5 Wide in women's shoes. This means that when only whole sizes are available I have to size up or down, usually based on width. So, based on what people were saying, I decided to go with a 9. And I have to say...they are tight. Not so much that I don't think I can break them after a month of wear. I'm sure I can break them in after a while. And based on the the way the 9 looks, I know that a 10 would have been way too long on my foot, even if the width would have been better... So, use caution. If you have wide feet, and you are thinking about sizing down a whole size, I highly highly recommend trying them on in person if at all possible for you. However, if you have regular or narrow feet, then I'm sure sizing down by half a size or a whole size would probably be just fine, cause like I said, these shoes are long, so going with your true size might mean your shoe is too long. I don't know guys. They are tricky on sizing, be cautious.

Hang in there
I wear an 8 or 8.5 US in regular shoes and sandals; however, my DM Nartilla sandals are a UK5/US7 and they fit perfectly. So I ordered the Clarissas in a UK5 as well. The first thing I noticed was how stiff they were. Unyielding. When I squeezed my bare foot in, not only was it very painful, but I could not see any way that this sandal could ever come anywhere close to being big enough or comfortable. Very tight and very stiff. Did I need a larger size? The length was just right so a larger size would be too long. I have a fairly wide forefoot, but narrow heel and thin ankles. I could barely buckle the ankle straps, they were so stiff. I decided to wear them around the house for a couple of days with thick socks, just to see what happened. It was an ordeal to get them on with the socks and then it felt like they were cutting off circulation to my toes. But I persevered. End of story: after a few days of indoor, sock-wearing breaking in, the difference is amazing. I’m wearing them today without socks (still around the house because I don’t think they’re ready to wear to work or for a walk yet) and the forefoot and ankle straps have stretched and softened just as I hoped they would. They are the correct size for me; they just need considerable breaking in. I can now tell that the more I wear them, the softer they will become. What had previously seemed inconceivable is happening- they are morphing into very comfortable footwear. And they look good, too.

Not for Wide feet
Giving these a 4 star because I really like how they look. However, I have not been able to break these in to where I can go out in public. I ordered these in April, it is now September...almost 5 months. I have worn them inside the house, in my backyard, and grocery pickups and drive thrus where I don't have to leave the car or walk in these sandals. And I've also stuffed them with balled up newspaper which actually helped a bit. I'm a 9W, and I got the size 8, the length is good. But my foot is being choked to death. I don't know if I'll be able to wear these out and walk in them. Unless I lose a ton of weight and my foot becomes really slender. Maybe I should use these as weightloss motivation but so far that hasn't worked these past months.
