A bit baggy & sizing info

The fabric and design of the dress is fine. It is a very professional looking garment. It would make a great work dress. Although I have normal signs of aging, I still have a relatively athletic build. I am 5'8", 160, 38C, long torso, broad shoulders, muscular lower body. I ordered a size 12. It fit well in the shoulders and chest. The arms were a little loose for me. Everything below the bust was baggy. The dress falls straight, from the front it would hide a belly and it comes in at the waist so you still look like you have some shape. From the side it could also hide a belly but because it doesn't accentuate shape. I will try this dress in 10, hope that it is not too tight in the shoulders, and report back. If I were to keep this dress and tailer down I would start darts under the bust and above the butt, and take them all the way to bottom to remove excess material. I might also try an 8 but I haven't been an 8 in long time. I just tried the 10. The arms and sleeves fit much better but the butt pleats start at my 6th or 7th vertebra. The front of the dress still falls straight. From the side, the front of the dress is still generally flattering, but the butt pleats effects how the dress drapes on the back. I'll try the 8 and report back.

Thick material

Fabric was thick. Great quality but too hot for Jamaica. The dress was long for my frame, as well as, big on the hips.

Nice dress but not for us rectangle shaped ladies

I’m 5’4,127 pounds, 34B. The size 4 dress fit great in arms,chest, and waistband but not below. The material below the waist band poofs out in the front and sides. If you have a nice curvier shape from your hips, I think this dress would look great. Wish it fit me better but sending back.

Perfect color and fit but uneven stitching

I have several of these dresses in this style for on-air appearances. I can always count on Donna Morgan for a very professional look. For some reason — despite having lost a lot of weight — the size 6 in the pale lavender color was a bit more clingy than the other colors. Also, the stitching was quite uneven at the color and waist. I am not sure whether I am going to return it because the dress in this color is sold out. I will probably keep it and see if my Seamstress can re-enforce the stitching at the waist. Otherwise really great. I’m sure I will keep buying every color they make in this dress pattern!!

Super flattering dress

This dress looks great on me-got a large, really looked great with my curves. Comfortable and well made.

Sophistication

Wore this this dress while getting presented a prestigious award by the mayor . I looked and felt so classy and received a lot of compliments. I ordered 3 different dresses and once I tried this one on I didn’t bother to open the others . Material felt great and was breathable . I’m going to see what else this store have available

Larger than expected waist.

The dress I received had clearly previously been worn (had copious deodorant stains and little bits of stuff on it that could be washed off)... not cool (no one should hide tags wear and return, also shouldn't be sold without this disclosed), but I'm not taking stars off for that because the one I got was on sale ($55). I have decided to hand-wash it and keep it. I like the dress, however, the fit isn't ideal for me. I'm 5'6" (pear-shaped),currently 119lbs, and the size zero fits well on the hips/shoulders/chest but the waist is too loose. It doesn't look bad, but it will make your waist look a little thicker than it is unless you have more of a straight up and down figure (or apple shape), in which case it would fit you appropriately. The material is stretchy so I don't understand why the cut couldn't have been a bit tighter at the waist.
