It is everything I expected
I have a 20' cuddy out-drive which I moor to a floating dock. Wave motion on the dock and boat can cause some significant surges on the mooring lines. These snubbers provide just enough stretch to absorb the shock on the mooring lines. They are a little longer than I would like for tying the stern of the boat to the dock so I tie the aft mooring line to a cleat on the centerline of the boat. The snubber rests on the aft deck and can leave black marks on the deck. I consider this a minor issue. They do their job well.

2 out of 3 Snubbers Broke - Poor Customer Service and Expensive Return to Canada
1/14/15: Update to Review: After multiple iterations and delays as described below, Dock Edge replaced the torn snubbers. Because I reported to them that the slots on the 5/8" rated snubbers are too tight for 5/8" lines, they replaced the torn snubbers with snubbers that are the next size up. I believe that was very considerate of them. I would not want to go through their customer service again, but they did eventually follow-through on their end to support their warranty policy, albeit very slowly and somewhat expensively to the customer to return the items due to them being located in Canada. Because they upgraded the size and did eventually follow-through on their warranty, I upgraded the rating from 1 to 3 stars. +++++++++++++++++++++++ Original Review: I am displeased with the quality of these snubbers and I am especially displeased with customer service at Dock Edge, Inc. I bought 3 of the snubbers to use with 5/8" diameter braided nylon dock lines. They are specified to fit 7/16"-5/8" diameter dock lines but in my opinion the slots are too narrow for 5/8" diameter dock lines. It was very difficult to thread the 5/8" diameter docklines through the slots in the snubbers and it took far longer than it should have. After using the snubbers for about six months on my dock lines I noticed that 2 of the 3 snubbers had torn. Attached is a picture of an end of each of the 2 torn snubbers. The snubbers are warranted for 2 years. I have had to go back and forth with Dock Edge since i first contacted them by email on 12/12/14. I returned the torn snubbers to them in Canada at a cost of $19.58 because they would not accept photographic proof. I have had to follow up on each email that I have sent to them and I have had to follow up for the status of the return because they did not contact me as they had promised to do after they received the defective snubbers. I am still waiting for them to honor their warranty.

Prevents line jerking.
When the wind shifts we get pinned against the dock. This allows me to tighten up the bow line and prevent a tight jerk on the line when the wind moves the boat around. It simply pulls the boat back with no jerk. Works great.

Great price and fine quality
Great price and fine quality. I feel bad for brick and mortar stores but how can consumers not take advantage of this?!

Same as the more expensive boat store snubbers
After I looked closely at the pictures on Amazon vs. West Marine websites I determined these were by the same manufacturer- which they are, except these are priced substantially lower. They've been on our boat for 3 months- work just fine. It's a bit of work to get 5/8" line threaded thru them but once on they stay put and work fine for an 8000lb +, 28ft boat on a lake slip.

Stops mooring lines from jerking at the dock or in a raft-up
We do a lot of raftups with two or more 30-ish foot sailboats tied together at anchor. I bought these to use on the lines between boats to stop the constant jerking motion that happens as wakes come in - and they absolutely did the trick. Highly recommended.

I've used these for years and can't recommend them highly enough
Would never tie my boat to a dock without them. Greatly lessens the strain on the boat and dock cleats. No more jerking up hard on the lines in rough weather. I've used these for years and can't recommend them highly enough.
