Longest-lasting vibe I've ever had
I've burnt through a number of different mini vibes, most of them lasting about a year or less regardless of brand. I didn't really expect anything different out of this one, but over 2 years later and it's still going strong. Battery life isn't any more than you'd probably expect, but it's definitely the best cheap "pocket" vibe I've ever purchased.

Purchased Several Times!
I've actually purchased this pocket rocket five times now over the last 12 years. It can get worn down and it has broken a few times on me. My most recent one lasted 3 years before I had to replace it due to part of the bottom getting chipped off, which exposed the battery and made it so that when it got cleaned water got inside. The times before that it just lost its strength over time. This one was eating batteries like crazy; I was using a new battery almost every time because it became half the strength. Regardless of its faults, I'd say that it was well worth the money. It's super easy to use as it only has one speed setting. Sometimes I wished that it had more, but honestly having one speed setting has made it easier to use. You don't have to worry about changing speed or pulse settings midway through and you won't accidentally turn it off by pressing a button. You twist it to turn it off and on.

Yeah... it's pretty amazing.
So let's start with why I purchased this little baby. I'd had a generic version for approximately 5 years that recently died on me out of nowhere. I had never heard of Doc Johnson but when I read that this was the "original" pocket rocket I simply HAD to purchase it. I thought mine was pretty bombtastic and it lasted a hell of a long time so I knew that this guy would seriously outrank any achievements it made in its short life span. Uhm... this is probably the best vibrator I have ever experienced. I dunno if it's the battery that comes in it or just the sheer awesome radiating out of its little shell, but it's one powerful beast. I don't even have time to catch a breath after an explosive moment because another one is right behind it. I was hesitant about the price at first because I had bought my other one for around $5, but this product is well worth the money put into it. I'm sure I'll get at least ten years out of this bad boy, and that's with consistent use. The ONLY reason I didn't rate this product a 5 is because it's not as quiet as it claims to be. This thing could easily wake up your significant other lying next to you. Now, I'm not one to choose a toy over the real thing but when I have some me time with Doc here, that's exactly what I want. ME time. So quiet is a highly appreciated feature. For now however, I'll settle with sneaking into the living room to get my rocks off. This thing is fantastic, period.

There's not much to say, most girls like this. And I do too. It's the perfect little pocket vibrator to have. I actually use it as a regular massager sometimes when I'm stressed and my back hurts. Likes: Size- its small, it fits anywhere Color- it honestly blends in and just looks like something other than a vibrator, I dont know how it even ended up in my purse, but its been there for the past few months and I use it whenever needed- usually for guys who aren't as "orally gifted." Power- the name 'rocket" is not an over exaggeration... it really is strong. Dis-likes: Noise- sometimes its sorta loud, but its amazing that all the strength comes from something so small. Levels- it only goes at one speed, which is cool, but can be Alot for a first time vibrator buyer and annoying for an experienced one. Waterproof- most of all I hate that its not waterproof, because sometimes with all its little strength I want to insert it, but since its not waterproof and since the top has the little gold metal grooves, you really shouldn't... Again I love that I can use it as a general massager and I honestly have on several occasions... it feels so good on my back and stuff, and its nice to have because you can use it on your significant others back as a massager as well. Overall: it's the perfect bedroom and purse toy to have. It's multi-purpose, compact, and inexpensive. Plus Doc Johnson has some of the best adult toys, AND this is classic. Be sure to purchase the eneloop battery back for your vibrators-Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger, 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter (CostCo Kit #2) . Anyone not using rechargeable batteries is doing a disservice to your budget and the environment.

This "Doc Johnson The Original Pocket Rocket" is in it's current (as of 2013) product packaging (with Doc Johnson on the top of the package, then the words The Original, with the stars in the background, the words Pocket Rocket in the middle, and through the clear see through plastic is the Pocket Rocket). Before ordering this the main thing I was wondering about because there was no image of the product in it's package on the top left was if it was in this new package (as of 2013), or if it was in the older cardboard box package, and upon receiving it this arrived in the current (as seen on their 2013 site) plastic packaging that can be described as similar to a modern earbuds clear plastic package. It was shipped in a plain Amazon box as usual. Some women might want items such as this to have more instructions such as on how to clean the top cover, and maybe with a softer top cover. For being a very popular item it is hard to find this "The Original" anywhere in stores or online, and it is not even easy to find it on the Amazon site unless searching specifically in "Health & Personal Care" for it. This is The Original in it's current (2013) packaging. The best price that I have seen anywhere of the few places I've found this The Original is this current price here on Amazon.

Best toy *ever*
I've used the 'Pocket Rocket' for over 15 years now (different models, makes, etc.) because they are THAT good. This is the single, most effective, most classy, consistent, and down-right uber cool adult toy I've *ever* used, and I never want to be without one. If anyone is on the edge of considering this toy: just do it, you'll thank yourself for it later. A few notes on this particular model: **Build quality is excellent. My last one lasted about 3 years of very frequent use. Typically in adult toys, there is often poor quality, which is disappointing given the high cost/margins they take. **This is a replacement, and I *love* the black matte finish (last one was white - same brand, just not the "limited edition" version. **The black looks VERY cool. Totally brings a classy and sleek look to the toy, which is awesome for anyone who might be slightly concerned about using adult toys, and for those of us who already love them, it just brings this "swank" factor to the rocket!
