Salad Bar

I use this as my personal salad bar. Once a week, I wash, slice & dice whatever veggies are on sale. I put 6 different veggies in the compartments. I store lettuce in a salad spinner, already washed & dried. When it's time for a meal, I take my tongs, grab some lettuce & start piling on the veggie toppings. I'm eating fennel, radishes, mushrooms, cabbage, watercress, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, cukes, cherry tomatoes, carrots, peppers, beets, you name it. Salad is no longer just lettuce with the obligatory splash of red or orange. I'm eating veggies that I would never have bothered with until now that I've got my own salad bar. Just takes once a week to prepare. The whole contraption stores nicely in the frig without taking too much room. Easier to use than storing 6 individual containers that may have 6 covers that you need to pry open. With the Winco, you just lift up one lid. It promotes healthy eating. I liked it so much, I got my daughter one & she thinks it's a great idea too.

This was the next best thing I could find for a garnish dispenser since ...

I would have given this product 4 stars but it came with a big scratch from one end to the other on the plastic cover.This was the next best thing I could find for a garnish dispenser since the elegant black ones tend to be a bit pricey. I read a review saying the dispenser does not have a bottom cover which is a bummer because when you put your hands underneath to carry it, it's very easy to push up the compartments by accident which then pushes open the plastic cover and causes the compartments or the entire thing to fall out of your hands. You just need to be extremely careful when carrying the dispenser with garnishes inside the compartments. I could have lived without the bottom cover if it hadn't come scratched so the purchase was a small disappointment but I'm making it work.

This is my "at-home salad bar" that saves me a lot of time!

I use this as my "at-home salad bar". This is a real time saver to throw a salad together. No more chopping, slicing, blah blah blah every single time I feel like a salad. I do it all at once & place my toppings in these compartments & place the whole thing into my fridge. LOVE THIS!! I like to choose a theme for my salads: Mediterranean, BBQ Chicken, Taco Salad... whatever sounds good. The set-up in the attached pictures is a Strawberry Walnut Chicken Salad.

6 compartment dispenser

It was not what I expected. I thought there was a bottom on it so the compartments would of stayed cold on their own. But we had to put it in another container to keep it cold. It worked out because we were able to put all the stuff we wanted in it and then our guest were able to pick what condiments they wanted on their sandwhich

Condiment Dispenser - wish it had a bottom

Overall pleased with this product, it has 6 plastic storage bins enclosed in a stainless container. The only downfall is that there is no bottom so it's a little difficult to carry when full and you can not put ice below items to keep cool when necessary. Overall good value for the price.

Bought for an Unusual Purpose

I cook a LOT of Indian food, and part of that relies heavily on what is called a "masala box." I find that most masala boxes cannot accommodate every spice I need and use. So I got the brilliant idea to buy one of these. Terribly happy that I did so. I keep this next to my microwave, a "pinch" away from my stove, and I am able to flip the lid, pinch what I need when I temper my seeds and spices. Incredibly happy with the product. Easy to clean. And a good value.

Compartmental condiment dish

This arrived on time, and just like the picture presented. I was not aware this did not have a " bottom" on it. I wanted to use it for entertaining inside and out of my house. I wanted to keep dips, veggies cold. There is no way to put ice on the bottom, and it should be enclosed to do that. The dishes are removable, which is convenient, and it is easy to clean...
