Not metal

Great looking helmet but be warned they claim it is metal but the one I received felt closer to plastic. Great looking piece but not sure if it’s worth the money

Not the same!

Very disappointed with my purchase, in the description it mentions as material: METAL by no means this helmet is made out of metal: FIVERGLASS OR RASIN and the coloring of the item is extremely poor specially when compare to the image on line.

A bit different from image and a bit smaller than site measurements but it is a beautiful piece of art. Mine was missing a screw that connects pole to base but no biggie,I had some spare ones. The base came in a different color than site image. It is well made but not as sturdy or heavy as the Macedonian Battle helmet. This one does not not fit a person head. the Macedonian Battle Helmet did. I am happy with this purchase thou. :)

Beautiful helmet

I chose this for my husband, a military and history man who would appreciate something like this. And happily enough, he loves the statue, particularly the ancient antique effect. Truly, it's a great-looking piece. Just be warned it seems to be bigger than the measurements suggest, so be sure to have the space for it. In our situation, we preferred setting the helmet without the accompanying stand, which also just doesn't seem to be as quality as the actual helmet, though initial testing of the stand revealed it still does its job.

Fantastic Replica of Murmillo Helmet

I absolutely love this Design Toscano SD116027 Ancient Roman Pompeii murmillo helmet. I love anything about ancient Rome, books, movies like Spartacus, Ben Hur, Gladiator and Pompeii. With my eclectic decorating sense I have busts of Julius Caesar so obviously I love all things ancient Rome. This murmillo helmet has a green patina to it making it look like a museum piece. Also it is mounted on a nice, solid and weighty stand. It really is a lovely piece of art and I am thrilled with it. Well made of resin and will last a long time. So happy with this.

Very impressive

Very impressive metal reproduction of a Roman gladiators helmet which is not full size but is larger than I expected. Antiqued finish, set on a solid plinth this would appeal to anyone interested in ancient Rome (as I am), and makes a very imposing display - just make sure you have a large enough space for it

Unusual Decorative Antique Repro Helmet

This is a bit of an unusual item for me; a modern reproduction of an Ancient Roman Gladiator Helmet. It's made of plastic, but it is made to look weathered and worn with a verdigris effect, and comes with an easily-assembled plinth upon which to stand the helmet on. It could, potentially, be used as a garden ornament, at a push, but I am unsure how weather-proof it would be. It could also be used as decor within an office or cafe, or of course, in a house, but it is life-size, and quite bulky. It's not cheap, though, priced at a shade under £200, but it is quite striking. Something of a specialist item, therefore.

Well made and very detailed!

I think this is one of them things that you will either love or hate! And I love it. It is a very striking piece that is quite fascinating to look at, it is very detailed and made to a very high standard. In fact it would not look out of place in a museum. If your into this type of thing and you have somewhere to put it you wont be disappointed! To display the Helmet the stand needs to be assembled this is just a case of bolting the arm the Helmet sits on to the base and takes a matter of minutes.

Signature piece.

This is what style magazines would call a "signature piece", it's quite large and stands on a plinth. The actual helmet is heavy, detailed and excellent quality. It's already attracting comment here....not all of it positive but we don't care as we love it. It's a fun piece of art and in a minimalist room (not this one) is a real eye catcher. We are a bit more cluttered and history mad so it takes a while for it to be noticed among our chaos but everyone comments once they see it. We love it and can't wait to give it a permanent place in our living room (lots of decoration being done at the moment) but we have the perfect spot for it once that's done. Love it, love it, love it. A great quality decorative item.
