very fragile, does not appear to be made of resin

This is a very nice looking piece (Dragon Demon) however I do not believe it is made of crushed stone and resin. It breaks at the slightest touch. I have had it 2 days and have had to glue it back together 3 times so far. It breaks just trying to put it in its place (outside planter). Looking at the break area it appears to be hard plastic and the thinner parts (horns, tips of wings) just break right off. I have other resin pieces in my yard that are very durable so I am convinced that this is not resin/stone.

Absolutely beautiful with intricate detail and gorgeous colors

Another gorgeously detailed design from Toscano. Another dragon for my husband's home office desk :) It wasn't intended for that, but he took it as soon as he saw it to add to the other one on his desk. He's in his 60's and is definitely not a collector of anything, but these dragons??? He LOVES them! You have to see one of these in person to appreciate the detail and the beauty. They are exquisite. If you are looking for a gift for yourself or a dragon lover, get this. You will not be disappointed. The colors alone are extraordinary.

Pretty darn-awesome-looking sculpture. I love the bright color and the creepy-looking coral. I like dragons and this one did not disappoint. It holds a position of honor in my office's lobby. It makes that place look good~

Nice mantlepiece child scarer!

Well, after getting a fairly large (read: enormous) design toscano xmas moose statue thing the other day which is clearly meant for outside, when I saw this up for review I thought "oh, that can sit next to the pond and scare cats away!". However, much to my amusement, it's arrived and is a lot smaller than the moosey reindeer, and looks more like an indoor ornament than an outdoor ornament, which is fine, but even reading back at the product description, it's not actually obvious which it is. So, my advice would be to look at the sizing. The moose came with "outdoor care" information whereas this didn't so I'm about 90% sure this is a mantlepiece ornament. So - weighing in at about 30cm tall and about as wide in wingspan, it's pretty much your standard resin statue, a town centre gift shop glass cabinet staple. Well, I say that, it actually looks a bit scary compared to the more tame "elephants riding tractors" that you get in gift shops. Detailing is good, it's not super intricate but it's well finished. One thing about design toscano pieces is while they might sometimes be odd in taste, they seem to be consistently good in quality. Packaging was a sawn in half poly block with shaping inside so shouldn't break easily - royal mail didn't manage to, so nobody will I expect. I'm finding that with the design it needs to be very frontlit or slightly uplit otherwise a lot of detail is lost by the shadowing of the wings, they're quite concave. Uplit would look awesome. The colours and paint are a lot deeper and better than the photo which sadly has been washed out by the need for a white background (all too common). In real life its colours really pop out if lit properly. Overall, yes, quite impressive.

The perfect model for any dragon fans - fantastic attention to detail.

This is a very intricate model dragon demon - it looks very effective out of the box and a must for any dragon fan! It has got amazing detail and the green metallic finish is perfect for a dragon. The model itself is pretty substantial and is rather heavy, probably as expected though. If you have any dragon fans in your life they will love this!

Spectacular.

The first thing that stood out as I was unboxing this was the metallic glow of the green paintwork, this is an extremely nice effect, tinged with purple highlights giving that same iridescent colour shine that pigeons have on their necks. The base has gold metallic highlights and copper fungus/plants on the lower left. After staring at the thing for a long time, inspecting it all over, looking close, looking from a distance, I've come to the conclusion that it's nothing short of spectacular. The picture certainly does not do it justice. It looks incredibly cool on display in my living room. My only criticism is that the base has a few bumps and blobs of varnish. I decided to stick some felt on the bottom, in fact I would have preferred if it has been made with a felt bottom, just an extra touch to finish it off, but since it's so good I'm not knocking a star off for that.

Interesting Dragon

This Dragon is sat on a shelf in my son's bedroom. He's very happy with it and thinks it's awesome. He's 14. The quality of the cast is very good, however on the one I've got the quality of the painting is a bit indifferent in places, especially on the back of the wings, it's nothing that I would scream about, but it does still slightly dampen my initial enthusiasm for the piece.
